Restore session will not work

I cannot get restore session to work. I have completely uninstalled, deleted all profiles, deleted profiles.ini. Started in safe mode and it still will not work. I have confirmed I have 'show my windows and tabs from last time' selected, and 'remember history' is selected under privacy.

Neither worked for me. Please help this is driving me crazy.

1. I am guessing you have the latest version of firefox correct?

2. Do you know how to restore your session? Sometimes it is automatic (Depending on the settings and computer) Other times you have to go to the top of the screen (The Mac's nav bar) Hit history. Then hit 'Restore Previous Session'.

Thanks for your reply.

1. Yes latest version of firefox.

2. Neither works. When I have auto restore turned on and I close and re-open, it opens like a new session. In that case the restore previous session option is greyed out since the auto restore setting is on. I've also tried turning off auto restore. In that case the restore previous session option is still greyed out when I restart

where IS the 'history' button. It once was across the top left and now all those tabs have disappeared and I am lost, too
