How do I remove the mixed content protection permanently and will it remove the banner that appears? I am sick of the banner that pops up at times that affects the browsing ability which is entirely annoying and how do I remove the shield and padlock from my fire fox entirely. I hate having to disable those as they interfere with the operation of my firefox and website that I have because not all the content on my website fails to load if the mixed content is disabiled. I'm tired of having this on my browser. I have to enable all my site features everytime I reload my browser. This is totally in the way.

I refreshed my firefox (as recommened ). I have now lost all my passwords and "restore previous history" .. I have managed to log in to Firefox but can't retrieve my passwords other than re-registering with my various accounts. How can I get back to my previous version of Firefox which was what I used for years with no problems.

Greetings...

As I visit specific websites and they attempt to install one or more cookies in my Firefox browser, I would like to be able to enable them for the then-current session only, so that they are automatically deleted when I close my Firefox browser.

While I could configure my Firefox browser to delete all cookies and site data when I close my Firefox browser, I do not want to delete all cookies, only those cookies that I have specificaly enabled for the then-current session only.

Is there any way that I can accomplish this in my Firefox browser? Unfortunately, I have been unable to find a way to do this based on my research to date.

Thank you for your attention!

The highlighted statements in the first screenshot are completely untrue. There is no option on the Lockwise menu allowing for the importation of logins & passwords from a file. I'm running v88.0.

You can see on the second screenshot what options are available and they do not include, "Import from a file."

There needs to be a way to import logins & passwords and extensions from an old version of Firefox or from a different computer, just as examples. I was very hopeful that you had reinstated that ability, but it's not true. Please fix this.

Also, not that it matters for this question, but the highlighted statement in the third screenshot is also untrue. There is no hamburger menu (three lines) on the Firefox screen. It's a down arrow.

I've been using a private Firefox window, but I notice Google keeps sending me YouTube videos and Pinterest suggestions based on obscure things I've only mentioned in a chat forum, while using this browser. And having to do with things mentioned in a text someone sent me. Neither I nor the texter have a Google phone. I don't have Chrome installed, so it's not like I had their browser open. Don't know how they're doing it. It's creeping me out. It cannot be coincidence.

Hi everyone,

I do need help on the following issue: I'm logged in my mailbox with Firefox browser. The password is saved and available in the browser settings. BUT. If I try to enter it and log in from another device, the mail service says the password is wrong. I can't understand how it is possible. The browser should use one of the saved passwords for the authorization, right? Why doesn't it work outside this very browser?

MAYBE one day I changed the password in the mail service, logged in, BUT didn't refresh it in the browser settings? May the browser use some cookies, service files or something like that for authorization despite unactual password saved? If yes, then how is it possible to extract the true password out of those files?

I turned to the mail service support, but they can't help me, because I didn't enter my real name, phone number or something during registration that could help to check my identity. So the only opportunity to save my mail is to use the browser files somehow. I'm going to reinstall Windows and I will loose access to my mail forever in this case that would be very very bad.. ((( Please, help!

I just sent an e-mail to someone at a company that handles my finances and I immediately got an ad in my Yahoo mail from a company called BeenVerified asking if I wanted to know more information about the person I sent the e-mail to. This is very unsettling. I don't know if it is really related to Firefox, or Yahoo Mail, or the fact that I had an account with BeenVerified in the recent past which I cancelled sometime back.

Is there a possibility that the security settings within Firefox can be changed to stop such a thing?

Thank you for your time!!!

Hi

Everything is fine if I use another browser, e.g. Edge.

I can login to the site and complete the Subject and give details. But when I select the Category, the submit button is unavailable. The lists of Topics ans Sub-topics never appears.

I wondered if it was a cookie problem, so gave the site full permission to use all cookies. This had no effect, even after restarting Firefox.

What is causing this and how do I solve it?

Many thanks

David

As soon as I start the Firefox Browser, it is connecting to multiple IP addresses. Any idea why it is doing so? Is there a way to stop it? Is it a privacy and security issue?

I have already changed most of the setting as mentioned in the following article: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-stop-firefox-making-automatic-connections

Some of the IP connections have stopped after making those changes. But there are still few connections. They are: - 35.244.181.201 (This is Google LLC) - 13.227.142.108 (This is Amazon) - 117.18.237.29 (This appears to be Verizon Media) - 54.70.109.38 (This is Amazon) - 52.38.31.225 (This is Amazon)

It will be great if someone could shed some light on this issue. Thanks in advance.

I am not able to join my universities online classes through Firefox. I thought it might be just an issue with the unis conference service, but I tried discord as well and it's the same problem. Stuff I have tried: look into the permissions options and resdet the permissions (didn't even ask me for pemission again), check if the "block new requests" is marked (never was), didn't help launching firefox in trobleshoot mode to see if it's one of the addons that is the root of my problem, but it didn't change anything.

The only thing that helped was to reset Firefox, but that only fixes it temorarily (about 3 days). After that it reverted back to not letting me join calls. Now I could keep resetting my broweser every three day, but that's a bit bothersome.

Hi everybody,

I am using Firefox (v88.0 64-bit) running on a PC with Windows 10.

I'm using a public library website called Libby on my PC to access magazines. I have set up a tag so that I get notified by email when a new version of a magazine am interested in (5 total) gets added. The Libby website relies on a cookie(s) so that you only login once with your library card and it retains any settings (like the above tagged information).

I could not understand why every time I accessed Libby, I was being asked to login with my library card and once logged in, my tagged information was missing.

I contacted Libby Technical Support, and further investigation revealed that Firefox automatically deletes cookies by default when closed.

I entered Firefox Options and could see that the 'Delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed' option was ticked which explained the above behaviour. I left this option ticked (I want all cookies to continue to be deleted on Firefox closure) but set up an exception under 'Manage Exceptions' to allow the cookie(s) associated with https://libbyapp.com to be retained on Firefox closure. This exception did not work.

I then dipped into the History section and selected 'Use custom settings for history' which then allowed me to untick the 'Delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed' option. This worked but is not really the approach I want to take.

In other words, I want to clear down all cookies on Firefox closure but retain the those associated with Libby. What is the best way to do this?

There seems to be an association (in terms of cookies) between the 'Cookies and Site Data' and 'History' sections within options, which I do not fully understand.

I have searched through the forum and there is a lot of material on this, with very long exchanges, some of which is not very recent. I thought it was worth asking the question afresh.

Apologies for the length of my issue description above.

Thanks in advance for your support.
