In the instructions (here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-SEC_ERROR_UNKNOWN_ISSUER?as=u&utm_source=inproduct) I can see "Add exception" button that allow me to continue visiting website. However this button does not exists. So I'm not able to do this. I'm using Firefox Quantum. And I'm designing a website (project, for example https://someproject.dev) with self-singing certificate ('cause I want to use https). All suggestions from everywhere I googled was not worked (including settings in about:config or adding exclusions in settings page)

So my question, obviously, how to achieve using self-signed certificate.

Is it possible to stop firefox from ASKING to save passwords. Even with "Remember Logins & passwords unchecked, it still asks after I enter a new password.

I use a different password manager (Kaspersky Password Manager) and it works fine. I do not wish Firefox to remember logins & passwords, my password manager does that just fine, but Firefox still prompts me to remember the login & passwords. I have unchecked the "Remember Logins & Passwords" under the Options, Privacy & Security. When I enter a new site, and either have to enter a new password, my password manager prompts me to save the new login & password. This is fine. BUT Firefox then offers to save the password, it gives me a choice of save, not now or never. I am pretty sure this question has been asked before but the all the answers seem to be to answer the prompt with "Never". This is not the answer to the question, it is an answer to the question "how do I stop Firefox from saving Login & Password Save from a particular website"

How do I stop it from asking? Surely that's what the "Remember logins and passwords for website" unchecked should do. I do not want to just say "Never" every time. I don,t want the prompt in the first place.

For over the past month now, I suddenly get "connection is not secure" on EVERY website, including yours. The only way to get rid of the problem is to reboot. I switch to Chrome until I need a reboot. I do not have the problem with Chrome. I thought maybe it was my AVG free antivirus. I could not find any setting to alleviate the problem, so I uninstalled it and installed Avast free version the other today. Firefox work for a few days, then yesterday, got the connection error today.

I am getting tired of rebooting and will probably just use Chrome all the time.

FireFox (on macOs) is not allowing browsing to Google and Bing and other trusted sites. Currently our enterprise solution is to uninstall Firefox 60 and install Firefox 52, disconnect from the network and choose "Never update Firefox" in the Firefox configuration. This seems to be a poor solution. Are you planning to fix this issue??

I have developed an Intranet application that uses Windows Authentication. It works correctly in IE, Edge and Chrome. It does the windows authentication properly in Firefox. The only problem is that the login box is displayed, the application loads properly in the background and if you hit Cancel from the login box it goes away until you restart Firefox and there it is again! I have tried all the answers about adding my sites to the trusted uris in the about:config app. To make things even more weird, on my development machine, the login box does not show up, which is the desired behavior. As far as I know, I have duplicated all the appropriate settings to a client machine, but the login box still appears. What am I missing?

Win7, FF 70.0 64 bit. YouTube, Amazon, eBay, etc., don't auto login. Most have me login manually and work ok afterwards. Some after I manually login, don't transfer to member's area and request login again or see me as a guest. Some, Amazon, eBay, etc. send me a one time password. Email (aol.com) and my credit union auto logins are the only ones that works normally. I've worked thru all the related fixes I can find, but none has worked. Usually save history, tried custom history.

My sites are redirecting to https when they should not be redirecting. Problem does not exist with chrome , IE, and Edge.

I have some sites that are blocked in some countries if they are https. So I want these websites to be http. Better than nothing.

FF is directing http to https. I dont want that , but thanks anyway.

Currently on Firefox Version 85.0 (64-bit) using with Windows 10 Pro

Until recently (before Firefox updated versions) my cookies, cache and history, were automatically deleted on exit from Firefox with no problem. Now I can not delete them for some reason. Even when I try manually to "Clear Data" and also manually clear all History (all sub-menus checked to be cleared). When I restart and open an online newsletter, normally I have to sign in. I don NOT have passwords checked to be saved in FF options and never did. But now with the new version it just auto signs me into that website. I do NOT want my passwords saved/remembered, nor any of my other info, etc! It is really annoying and not secure if FF is now saving information we don't want it to! What is going on here? How do I resolve and get back the way I had it before the update? Please advise. Thanks in advance!

NOTE: I don't want to start from scratch by clearing out Firefox totally or messing with my profile. I have too much customization to start over from scratch. (That would be like asking somebody to reinstall Windows entirely when something minor goes haywire!)

Please can anyone help I am getting an error message pop up that says "Something is trying to trick firefox into accepting an insecure update. Please contact your network provider and seek help." I recently did a clean reinstall and deleted all of my program folder before reinstalling a fresh copy after having a similar king of error message pop up, but it seems I have swapped one kind of problem for another. I am a complete novice at computers and any help anyone is willing to give me needs to be in step by step form and as basic as possible. Thanks.

Firefox used to remember my bank password, but it does not any longer. After downloading the update to version 23.0.1 today, the remember password feature appeared broken.

I tried many things and eventually got passwords working on other sites, but not my bank. I deleted the saved password from the password manager in an attempt to try and get the Remember Password prompt to show up again, but it didn't work. I checked in Exceptions and it's completely empty, so that's not it. I also tried using the bookmarklet for fixing autocomplete on sites that it's disabled and my bank doesn't appear to disable it.

I've spent an hour and a half researching this and trying everything I could but I am at a loss. This computers main user is an elderly man so having the bank remember the password is a MUST.

I had to restore my operating system. I was able to recover places.sqlite to restore bookmarks (good!). I was able to find a key3.db (dated July 2013) that file won't be complete or up to date, but at least it puts me somewhere ahead.

I read that I need a signon3.txt file to go with the key3. I don't have one. I did find a signons.sqlite file dated Sept 2014. I moved both these files to my profiles folder but I don't get my old passwords back.

Is it possible for me to use the old key3? Do the key3 and signons have to be dated the same? Is there a way to recreate the signons.txt?

I do have the master password.

Thanks for help.

My employer has a certain setup, to login to the e-mail a password is needed, this is automatically filled in since we saved the password in firefox. This was setup this way to ensure employees don't need the password. In fact they're not allowed to know the password, however firefox has a show password option, which allows them to see the password anyway:S

Is there anyway for this setup to work? like hide the show saved password button orso? (employees use local accounts, aren't allowed to install anything etc, so just hiding that should be fine if I'm not mistaken) Obviously a master password won't work, since they'll need to fill in the master password when they want to login to the mail, if they can do that, then they can also access the show password option.

Any help would be very much appreciated, basicly we want our employees to login to the mail, without them knowing the password.
