Here's the issue in a nutshell:

When I navigate to this URL (https://publicdelivery.b-cdn.net/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/Jeff-Koons-Michael-Jackson-and-Bubbles-1988-ceramic-106.7-x-179.1-x-82.5cm.jpg) intending on saving out the picture, Firefox ( or so it appears) forces the user to save it as webp, instead of its actual format, as you can see from the URL. Granted, I got to that photo in the first place from Google image search but spawned it into an independent window, which should occupy a separate memory space and not reference a previously cached file. While i get the primary application is to allow for multiple res versions while referencing only one file, this behaviour is pointless, irksome and serves no practical purpose when accessing the asset with an explicit URL, plus it puts unnecessary and Big Brother-ish barriers up for the less savvy. I solved the issue ultimately, but who is at fault here? Is this a function of Firefox or of the CDN where it's hosted?

Each time I start firefox, it always opens the same tabs from an old session instead of reopening the tabs from the last session. I would like to know how to correct this. thank you

I foolishly clicked on Refresh and when it was done I had lost all bookmarks and history. I am at my wits' end trying to get back to where I was and will never do that again. Considering I am 80 years old I know for a fact there are probably a lot of things I won't be doing again but I would like to just go back to where I was. I am no longer able to get into Facebook which isn't going to cause the Earth to spin off its axis but I have several friends I really enjoy staying in touch with and it isn't possible to even enter FB now. I have tried everything, read all directions, followed all orders, jumped through all hoops (great Kodak moment for those of you with cameras) and I have failed.

I know that someone here, probably many of you, are more knowledgeable with the way this works and I would just enjoy being able to contact these two friends and get their emails, the FB connection isn't all that important. Now my question is and feel free to laugh but could this Refresh have caused some glitch in the innards of something or other that would cause this problem?

If any of you could help out a senior here I would be most appreciative.

Good morning. I`ve got one question: I have 81.0.2 version, and - everytime i launch firefox - i receive message that i should install the newest version. Problem is that i did this around 5 times... and still nothing.

Before the last Firefox update, when I clicked a link in an email it opened a tab in Firefox. Now nothing happens and I have to copy the link and open a new tab in Firefox and paste in the link. How can I fix this so that the link opens directly? Thank you.

Why does my Firefox address bar have "http://search.anysearchmanager.com/?_pg=C22B9764-34B6-556E-8545-EBAFFD03F12D&affid=A1I70_set_bfr_H&type=h" in it when I open Firefox? It's annoying to have to delete all of that before I can enter the URL I want. How can I get the automatically blank address bar I had before? I use Firefox on a desktop Mac. (Firefox tells me there are thousands of results for this question, but I can't find any of them.) Thanks.

For a long time now I had been able to access this webpage using Firefox: https://weather.bom.gov.au/location/r3gx0kn-alexandria . In recent months the browser does not even recognise anything has been typed in. On the other hand, Bing (my back-up browser) does take me to the site. It came to Firefox for a day or two earlier this month but is gone again. Can anyone suggest a fix please?

When I open a new tab and press either [↑] or [↓] or click in the location bar (the blank space where the URL goes), a dropdown list appears. See attached screenshot for the list.

There are some frequently visited sites like gmail. There is one bookmarked site I frequently access. In the screenshot, this is the one with the blue star. And then there's the mysterious URL to an html on my Linux Mint computer ("/home/[...]/[...].html”). The icon for this is a gray thumbtack.

I press the down key until this mysterious URL is selected, and then press Delete, but it doesn’t get deleted.

What is this and how do I get rid of it? I tried searching for it in my Bookmarks, but I don’t think it’s a bookmark.

I'm on Firefox 81.0 (64-bit) Linux Mint. But I've had this problem for many versions now.

HI When I opened Firefox this AM there was a an alert message in a red box saying basically that Firefox could not access my bookmarks. I tried to restore an old backup but although the dates were there there was no data.

I tried importing my bookmarks from Safari with no success. I did enable full disk access to Firefox prior to attempting the import to no avail.

I did export my Safari bookmarks to my desktop but have had no luck importing them into Firefox...

Help would be much appreciated... I do run Malwarebytes in Firefox and have for years.

In initial request for help, I said that reducing size fixes shrink-to-fit problem. IT DOES NOT. The size reduces, but still only the upper 3/4 of the page prints. Thank you.

have previewed help topics particular to this problem, but not finding exact phrase. this is my online banking account. i use it regularly and often. i wanted to transfer funds. i have contacted the bank customer service, advised to clear cache and cookies, but no luck. FF autoupdates, Win7 not applying updates, prefer not using Win10.

For some reason videos on twitter (& audio posts) don't output any sound thru my speakers when played.

The tab isnt muted, nor is the volume down in windows 10's mixer, in fact the sounds even shows up as playing in windows volume mixer. but nothing comes out

Other websites work just fine! It appears to be only a twitter issue, tried opening new tabs etc & they still dont output sound :(

Works in other browsers like chrome too Any help would be appreciated!

http://www.websudoku.com/ is losing cookies (options selected and level of Sudoku). This has worked in past. Additional info. If I leave page and select Sudoku page again - cookies are gone. It is not a matter of closing my browser or even my tab.

Firefox is saving and offering to auto-fill login information (i.e. usernames) even though I explicitly ask they NOT be saved, and even though these sites are not among the list I allow through Lockwise. How can I forever purge these and prevent the problem from recurring?

Hi! As the title states, since the latest windows update (am now on 19041.508), anytime I go on a webpage on Firefox it's extremely slow to load, however once loaded the page is as fast as it should be!

I don't have any antivirus other than windows defender, and disabling it/the windows firewall doesn't fix the issue, so it doesn't seem to be linked to that either, on the online forums such as this one I found it was also common to have issues caused by hardware acceleration, playing with that setting does not help either.

Another friend of mine has the same issue as me since the last update, so I'm assuming it's not something unique to my situation, is this a known issue for which a fix is available? Searching for one has yielded only outdated results.

Is it possible to import my Opera bookmarks into Firefox? The only selections I've found in the Help file is from Microsoft Edge, Edge Legacy or Internet Explorer. Perhaps there might be a workaround?

Adobe have issued a notification that they will not support Flash Player from December 2020. The notification suggests you uninstall Flash Player. Not sure what to do.
