Today 5/20/2018, I opened Firefox and it was automatically updated. After the update I used my bookmark for Hidden City on Facebook (it's not the Gameroom app) and while the app was loading twice I got the yellow banner message that a webpage is slowing down my browser. I have gotten that message before and I always just wait instead of clicking Wait or Stop and the message goes away the app continues loading. After the loading screen the game was unbearably slow. My cursor moved around the screen fine but everything in the game moved slow. The CPU usage was 60-64 and the Memory usage was 63-71 and 4 firefox processes were running. When I first used the FireFox Quantum browser to play Hidden City was slow and I followed help page to fix it, but this recent update seems to have undone what I tweaked. The current version of the browser I see in the about FireFox is 60.0.1 (64 bit). Can someone help me tweak the browser so I can play game Hidden City? And I would like to also play my Secret Society game (it's the same type of game as Hidden City) in this browser but I haven't because I was concerned both games would be to much data for the browser to hold and would cause it to slow down. Is there a way I can store the data for both games so it doesn't effect the browsers performance and protect the data from being accidentally deleted when I clean out the browsers history? Also, Firefox is not my default browser, I only use it to play Hidden City because Internet Explorer can't be used to play it. Also I already have Adobe Flash on my computer but I can't use it in Firefox, when I tried to check out Secret Society there was a message saying I need to download flash player. How do I enable Flash Player so I can play Secret Society? I tried following the article I found in help but I don't see the flash player in my add ons, and the other add-ons I have is UBlock and it's enabled, and No Script which I just added today to see if it would help but I disabled it because it blocked java script and Hidden City won't work without it. If you need more information just let me know and I will try my best to supply it. Thank you for your time.

Using v. 60.1 64-bit. All attempts to download are borked. No error message, but checking Downloads shos that they all fail (wihout explanation, of course). I have tried EVERY so-called solution for this I've seen on the 'net, and none of them worked.

When I click to play the track sample, the little circle goes round, but there's no sound coming out. Other sites like Youtube work fine. I'm using Windows 10 with Flash ad-on, on a new build PC. The flash setting is set to "ask first", but I don't think it gets that far. It was just the same before I installed flash.

I would like to use Roboto Medium as my default font for firefox, but I am unable to select select a different font weight. I am on Linux. In Gnome settings, under Roboto, I can choose various weights like Light, Medium, etc., but not in Firefox. It take the default normal weight. Is there an advanced configuration where I can change it ?

so i update my amd gpu and when im trying to play youtube vdeo its keep crashing

Both sides of the screen have panels with the same info (Window List, Bluetooth, Networks, Instant messaging, Vaults, Clipboard Contents, Volume, show hidden icons, and clock). I tried to delete these panels but could not. The top has a panel with the "application Menu Bar" which I need to save. I am using Kubuntu 18.04 , Firefox 60.0.1, Thunderbird 52.8.0. in 64 bit. Please help. This panel and info should just be at the bottom of the screen.

os ubuntu ff60.0.1 i click a hyperlink in gplus. FF generates url like http://plus.url.google.com/'http://anmikam4dumbme.blogspot.com/2018/05/1.html' and browser returns 404 . without the quotes and and the string http://plus.url.google.com/ page loads. windows users report no problem.

After a major windows 10 update, Thunderbird and Firefox crash continuously, usually the moment I open another program, rarely when using Thunderbird and Firefox. Reinstalled Firefox, but it still crases. These two are the only to have problems after update. Do you have a solution? Thank you and good day, Luciano

I've had about 15 or so tabs that open every day on launch. That didn't happen yesterday, and "restore previous session" is no longer in the menu. I was keeping these tabs open for reference and I want to get them back. I'm not aware of having experienced a crash, although the previous session has always restored after a crash. Don't know if this coincided with an update, either, as I have FF set to update automatically. FF prefs are still set to "show windows and tabs from last time." I NEVER use “clear browser history.”

Any ideas about whether it's possible to bring back that last session after one or two days?? Tried to look back through Time Machine on my Mac but I have no idea of what file I'd even be looking for, where it would be, or whether that would actually restore the last session before this happened.

For at least two days, I have been unable to use the search bar in firefox. I am using the most current version of firefox. When I enter a term, neither hiting the enter (return) key, nor clicking in the green arrow with my cursor will initiate a search. There is no problem using the address bar. I have at least one suggestion enabled in privacy settings. I am using a MAC. Help! Thanks, Debbie

Until recently I was able to use google.ca as my default search engine. Now this is no longer the case. Since I am Canadian....and also live in Canada I would think that this would be a pretty easy task.....NOPE! Please fix. This is annoying enough to use a different browser and never look back.

It is pretty simple really. When I search from the address bar or search bar I need the search done from a Canadian prospective and as far as I can tell this is no longer an option? But it really should be.

In Firefox on one of my forums I cannot view embedded videos from Twitter. All I see is a panel with "Twitter Placeholder". The problem does not exist on Chrome, Internet Explorer, or Microsoft Edge.

I noticed that on my new computer, backgrounds created in CSS with the background-image property are oversaturated.

In the example, there's a square with a background color that is the same as the start and end colors of the gradient of the body element behind it.

On my screen, the background is more saturated than the square. This does not happen in Chrome or Safari, where everything looks like the less saturated square.

What I've tried so far:

Checked with the same Firefox version on my MacBook. The background color gradient was rendered the same as the solid background (however more saturated than in Safari and Photoshop).

Disable hardware acceleration. This had no effect.

Restart Firefox in safe mode. This had no effect.

Enter a value for gfx.color_management.display_profile: the path to the color profile that my iMac shows in ColorSync Utility>Profiles>Computer>Displays>iMac. This had no effect.

Change gfx.color_management.mode from 1 to 0 and restart Firefox. All yellow on the linked page looks more saturated than in Chrome and Safari, but the background gradient is rendered in the same color as the div with the solid background. The same happened after changing the setting to 2.

Interestingly, one could argue Chrome and Safari render the colors undersaturated, because when I create the color in another program, it looks identical to the rendering in Firefox. However, I would assume it would be beneficial to have color management activated and in that case, the background gradient should not look different.

I have attached an image that shows the effect on my display.

How can I get internally consistent color rendering with Firefox color management enabled?

With Win 10 1803 Home Edge works, Chorme and Firefox shut system down New Dell Inspiron XPS 7573, Dell has remotely run long Hardware Diagnostics, no trouble found. I can search (Bing or Google) fill forms, type input with no trouble. In Chrome or Firefox if I start typing a query or entering a text string, after about 6 characters a fly-out above Notifications Says "Ambient Light Sensor …, and if one or two more characters are typed within a few seconds, the Dell Support Assist App opens, then the screen goes black, and in 15 seconds or so the system shuts down. Pressing Power Button restarts the PC, from Dell logo to login screen, and system comes up exactly where it was when I typed the final character that triggered the shutdown. If I space out typing, leaving a second or two between key strokes, I can avoid the shutdown.

Has anyone else seen this? I am quite sure the system is not overheating, does this with external power connected. Jack

I received notice to update Java. But when I tried, it failed- something about Java not working as a plug-in with Firefox. I'm old- I'm 73 and to me, a plug-in goes into a wall socket. I tried reading the article by Firefox about how to fix it, but it might as well be written in Chinese. Please help- I need very simple instructions starting from the very beginning: exactly what commands to use. thanks
