I was receiving a lot of trash emails and such and cleared all my cookies and history. Now I am getting this pop-up and it is interferring with my internet usage, "Exc in ev handl: TypeError: oSAPlg.oRoot.log is not a function." What is it and how can it be fixed, deleted, gotten rid of, etc. Thank you

I just upgraded to the new FF 6.01 and I don't like the way it is laid out and want to go back to the previous version. How do I do that without completely uninstalling FF completely? HELP...Please tell me how to accomplish this> Thanks

How do I prompt Firefox to ask to save a password. Once I say "no" it never asks again (but now I would like it to remember the password for certain sites). I have also changed my password on some sites (while on another computer) and I cannot find out how to get Firefox to remember new passwords. I'm using Firefox 6.0.1 on a mac. I'm not using private browsing. I have 'remember passwords for sites' clicked and there are no exceptions. I've tried removing cookies, history, looking at page info.

It has taken me twelve hours to find the name of my problem. I am a layperson. I have tried to close out all ff processes, but can't, because they don't appear. I am using ff now because I created a new profile, which works (but for some reason, when it was created, it appeared as an earlier version of ff). My problems began when my computer crashed, and I couldn't run ff, so I used explorer to figure out how to fix the situation, and learned about creating other profiles. I have no way of accessing my old profile, because when I click on it, it is in use. When I open where it should be in the folder location, it used to say 'empty', but now I can see my new profile. I can't rename my old profile, as suggested in the bug 278860 bugzilla string, because I can't access it. This is so frustrating, because I need some of my bookmarks (and will from now on download them more often). Please help: I have invested a lot of time in trying to fix this on my own. I run windows 7, have the latest ff, and have plugins like adobe and java etc - all the basics.

Update 6.0 of Firefox is useless to me because many of the web sights I visit do not appear correctly, I assume because the Java add-ons are disabled due to non-compatibility. They still appear correctly in Internet Explorer.

Also, the Trend Micro add-on is non-compatible, which does not leave me with a warm fuzzy feeling.

When I try to check to see if these add-ons might be updated, the Tools/Add-ons menu item just goes to a page with "loading" and stays there for several minutes with no change before I close it.

I would like to know the procedure to back out this version of Firefox to my previous version that was working.

I can't give more detail because the question is self-evident. I can expand the reduced screen in the usual way, but it is a bore to have to do so. The problem used to be spasmodic, but now happens (I think) every time.

I want to install siteadvisor from McAfee but I cant load add-ons manager. I have win7 firefox6.I have the program on my computer and it is working fine in explorer.

There's a rectangular box on the home page below the search box. It has three websites displayed in it . It could be as a result of my visiting certain websites, not sure. I'd like to empty that box. What is the procedure for doing that?

Before Firefox updated to 6, my user ID's and passwords that I had saved or ask the website to remember were always available. If I shut off the browser and later started a new session, my ID's were still on the website when I went to them. After yesterday's, 8/31/2011, update to 6, when I close the browser after a session, the ID's and passwords are gone and must be re-entered. This happens only when I'm surfing as a 'standard' user. If I surf the web as an administrator, all my saved info is still there.

Running OS X Lion 10.7.1 Mac mini early 2009, 4GB RAM. No other problems except both Firefox and Chrome are incredibly slow opening web pages when compared to the same two browsers in Windows or to Safari in OS X.

This happens whether other applications are running or not. Internet speed has not changed (tested 6 Mbps), not using proxies, etc. Yes, I did test after Quitting all other apps. It makes no difference.

In older version you could hide the or delete subscribe to this page option in the bookmarks menu bar option and the same for unsorted book makrs option. Also I would like to remove some of the spaces that surround these option in the menu.

I'm talking about the menu bar with the menu item bookmarks.

All of these options in the menu for book marks makes for a lot of unnecessary scrolling to of the bookmarks menu in either direction(up or down). I find it very annoying that there is NO option to either hide these items of to just out and out delete!

The tool bar I'm talking about has this list on it.

Now on this menu bar in the drop down bookmarks menu is where I want to get rid of or hide the above mentioned items which you use to be able to do.

I need the Norton toolbar, which was available until a few minutes ago when the latest update came in for firefox. Anyway, I would like the toolbar enabled or the means to undo the update. Help
