pretty simple, I go to the addons and it curtly says.......Norton Toolbar is incompatible with Firefox 38.0.1. So I have gon3 back to firefox version37.0.2 which I was warned has SERIOUS security problems.

Firefox is starting to sound like Microsoft in its "explanations". It worked before now when I upgrade it is suddenly not compatible.

We all know that the coders made a mistake in the nwest version.....so why not fix it. I am beginning to think I may go back to Internet Explorer ......

So Firefox, when will you make Firefox compatible with the extremely popular norton toolbar, ID Vault etc.

I don't think any settings users proipose will fix this...only MOZILLA can.

I would like Firefox to NEVER show the "Remember password" message. This is shown below the Key icon, to the left of the navigation bar. I tried different History configurations. Even if I enable and uncheck the "Security -> Remember passwords for sites" check box, the message is still shown after authentications.

I would really appreciate a specific answer.

The chosen solution, which came from moderator cor-el, involved going to about:config and setting OMTC to false. While this solution didn't help the poster of that thread, it did remove the random artifacts from input buttons on my computer that were modified by CSS (specifically, those modified by the Stylish extension) and made them render properly.

Unfortunately, Google has recently made changes to maps and apparently now requires this setting to be enabled in order for them to display properly. If OMTC is set to false, the maps will initially look correct, but after a few seconds, they will change to a mirror image, where even dragging the image by mouse works the opposite as expected! Strangely, pop up infoboxes still render correctly.

Since this completely breaks Google Maps, I am hoping there is another solution to CSS-modified input fields often looking wrong until I hover my mouse over them.

Trying to use webrtc on either Firefox Hello or another website making use of webrtc features (such as https://tokbox.com/opentok/quick-start/demo.html) for communication will make Firefox show the dropdown to select a microphone and authorize it's use. The connection is established just fine, I can hear other people talk (or myself if I connect with another browser), but my own microphone is not picked up. I am very confident that my windows settings as well as those in driver's application are correct, but I'm happy to try aynthing out.

I'm thankful for any help you can provide.

On top right, I used to have an icon that I would click which automatically too the URL of whatever was being viewed and place it into the bookmarks. I lost both icons. How do I get them back?

I install new firefox 37 which is not loading any website just wheel is scrolling, while in other browser internet is working fine, i try to solve out the problem but i could not.

i am using windows 8. before few days firefox was working fine. but suddenly it stoped at that time i update the firefox but cant, try in settings as given by the firefox support but than also i could not solve it.

when i close the firefox and again start it says that firefox is already running and to button are ther close firefox and cancle.

when i close firefox and again start it says profile is missing.

when i make it new and delete old one. fierefox will start but could not load any page.

when i again close it the same problem again.

I've got a problem downloading a suitable version of Firefox for Linux, to run on a Knoppix Live DVD system, for use in testing publishable extensions that I've developed on Windows. (This is not an extension development question, however, just a problem downloading and configuring FF suitably.)

I was surprised that the current version (FF40) and earlier (FF34) for Linux come with 3 extensions permanently installed - Adblock Plus, FoxyProxy Standard, and NoScript. They apparently cannot be uninstalled, although they can be disabled.

I've read online in various forums that Adblock Plus is a memory hog, and that it, especially, as well as NoScript, can interefere with legitimate code on websites and extensions. I've also read complaints from users that disabling Adblock Plus does not seem to remove all its effects.

During my testing I experienced problems that I suspected were due to Adblock Plus, so I disabled it and restarted the browser. The situation greatly improved, but there were still a few problems that might or might not have been related to memory shortages.

The issue is this: I would like to download "clean" versions of FF for Linux without these 3rd party extensions installed, to achieve more conclusive testing, but have not found a way to do it.

I'm also curious as to why these extensions are being "forced" on Linux users. (I hope that never happens on Windows, or I might become a less committed FF user.)

Today, when I went on Mozilla, all my bookmarks were still there, but all my previous browser history was gone, so I was trying to fix that. I had added the "FEBE" add-on & tried backups for restoring the history. Now, all my bookmarks are gone, but when I go into my Mozilla profile, the "bookmarkbackups" folder & the files contained in it are still there.

I downloaded an add-on theme by THUNDER BRAND but then uninstalled and removed it however my start page returned to normal but my tabs did not change to default. i want to change my tab back to default that is the original default mozilla tab. please help me in this matter.

As soon as Firefox updated me to 37.0.2 installed I started having issues with missing add-ons and missing tool bar buttons.

Instead spending all day reloading add-on from "Refreshing" Firefox I just started going through my add-ons and disabling them and restarting (4-5 at a time) till thinks went right. I spent a hour last night till I got down t last few that could because it . I left FIREBUG disable and things started working as is and Compatibility Reporter started working too.

Well I woke up to start Firefox and to my shagrin it was messed up again. So I went back through and and remembered the few last add-ons I re-enabled right before I disabled Firbug. So I disable it and sure enough things went back to normal. What Add-on was that?

When the icon for it shows on my toolbar everything else shows, yet when it goes awal many other things malfunction. I tried reloading Firfox several times and nothing change. So when I disable it and restarted things were normal and working.

Anyone else experience this?

So I have tried almost everything that is available on internet on this issue of crashes. Some times plugin container error use to come as well but I disabled it. Most recent 5 reports are as follows, your help will be greatly appreciated.

I just recently got a new laptop, and since the minute I've installed firefox on it there has been lag when scrolling webpages. It seems to start off not too badly, with there being some stuttering when I first open firefox, however it seems like the longer I'm browsing the worse it gets, to the point where sometimes I'll start scrolling and then a second later firefox will just jump to the bottom of the page. Internet Explorer and Chrome both have perfectly smooth scrolling.

I've tried numerous things to fix it already, this is some of the stuff I can remember trying: -Turning off hardware acceleration and smooth scrolling -Starting in safe mode -Complete reinstall with new profile -Updating graphics card and intel drivers

I had to run a restore on my laptop to a previous date when it worked better. And Firefox was uninstalled but I have installed it again. Now the problem is that I cannot find the bookmarks I had on the Firefox that was uninstalled as a result of the restoration. How do I get my bookmarks back?

With regular correspondence when Firefox is opened, plus the numerous begging letters, is Colourful Tabs bordering on malware? Other Add Ons have to survive, too, but Colourful Tabs have to take the biscuit for constant nagging and annoyance. It is a very good Add On, but is being ruined by these constant notifications and I am strongly tempted to remove it. It has become a pest.
