Firefox is reporting (Help>About Firefox) that it is running v.43.0.1 and that "Firefox is up-to-date".

I'm not sure whether it is incorrectly reporting v.43.0.1 when it is in fact up-to-date, or thinks that v43.0.1 is the latest.

I could presumably download and install the latest version, but I am concerned why Firefox thinks it is up-to-date, when it clearly isn't.

I have two PCs. One if them has updated to version 48 yestarday. The other one will not update. When I go to the 'about firefox" page it checks and says my firefox is up to date with 47.0.1.

I live in a remote and rural location. Dial-up internet is the only option. Broadband is not available.

The large Version 44.0 update file download will not remain on-line because of rural dial-up limitations.

I've tried a good quality Download Manager software. But the Firefox Update Version 44.0 webpage will not allow the RESUME command needed for a large file download using dial-up internet.

I cannot upgrade to Broadband. I cannot download the Version 44.0 file---it produces a corrupted file--or webpage refuses RESUME command.

A creative workaround from an open-minded Firefox savvy individual is requested.

...I upgraded my Firefox browser today to version 55.0, but when I restarted it, it wouldn't access any of the details of the Profile I use all the time... I have looked repeatedly, and there is never any History, either pre-existing, or newly created, and my Bookmarks and Fast Dial add-on aren't available... When I try to log into a site, however, it still remembers my Password data, and that is visible in the Options : Saved Logins popup... I had a similar experience with Firefox Developer Edition, and I finally gave up, and switched to regular Firefox, but I'm now running out of options!! I am running Windows 10, on a Laptop with a 6GHz processor

I have set my download on ask before downloading; however, I guess the program gets a little put off because it keeps asking and I keep saying "NO". Unfortunately, it takes it upon itself to download anyway. I love Firefox; however, I have been informed by my school where I teach online courses, that there are problems with Firefox 23 and our LMS. I DO NOT want to have to keep installing Firefox 22 throughout the semester. How can I get the damn browser to quit doing what it wants and pay attention to my settings? Thank you

IF I update Mozilla Firefox to a newer version, my RoboForm toolbar will disappear; so, I do not update. Like all users, I love RoboForm and use it. WHEN will you fix the compatibility issue so the RoboForm toolbar will be back in service?

I understand the latest version of Mozilla firefox is 27. When I try to update it tells me I have the latest version 25.0.1

Which is the correct version.

I was having trouble with the Firefox v25 updating. I have Avast anti-virus installed and running Windows 7. Since I could not install update, I uninstall Firefox. Then I tried download the stub and the whole package for v26. Every time I try to install, it started up and extract the files, I see 100% extracted and then nothing happened.

I even disabled the anti-virus software but it made no difference. Please help.

Have used MF for years, liked it. Then today rec'd message to upgrade to new version. I did: http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/ It sucks BIG TIME. There's no box to enter word/phrase search, and WAY too much product promotion. All I want is a simple to use search engine that has a box to enter in word/phrase searches. Wish now I wouldn't have "upgraded".

I recently updated FF to 30.0. Afterwards the browser would not work. It just comes up with a white blank page and no toolbar shortcuts that I have saved. I can type in an address but when I press enter or click Go it does nothing. None of the button seem to do anything so I can't even get into settings. I backed up my profile and uninstalled everything including user data but it still doesn't work. I installed an older version and it is working fine.

My PC is on Win9 and firefox. Reformatted 2 months ago.

Unable to save some webpages for the past couple of days, I did the usual "reset firefox" when I have these kinds of problems. But this time it would not reset. I get the msg:

"Well, this is embarrassing.

Firefox is having trouble recovering your windows and tabs. This is usually caused by a recently opened web page.

You can try:

   Removing one or more tabs that you think may be causing the problem
   Starting an entirely new browsing session"

No webpage was open at this time. Also unable to update firefox.

Hi there, I have just had to upgrade and get a new Pc and it has windows 8.1 which is awful. I only like to use firefox as my browser. I have tried to install it but it won't work. I cannot find any up to date information on the web as to whether firefox can be installed with Windows 8.1 I have a 64 bit operating system. Is there a way to do this? Or if not does anyone know if it will be available soon, or i'll have to use chrome which i don't like as much. I don't have much technical knowledge to do complicated things. I wonder if it works well on Windows 8 if i try and downgrade..... Not sure i know how to do that/ Any help be appreciated. thanks

worked fine yesterday, today I launched Firefox and I get the spinning circle and the word Connecting... in the upper left hand corner. I uninstalled and reinstalled and still doing the same thing. Internet connection is fine. I am running Windows 7 Home Premium Service Pack 1 64 bit Please help. Thanks, Denise

All of a sudden I can't download anything. I'm pretty much technically illiterate but I DO download images/documents frequently and have never had a problem. Until now. Now no matter what I try to download- or when I try to view my previous folder of downloads instead of seeing the image I get a page of random symbols and letters. I have no idea if I pushed something by mistake to make this happen??? Any help most appreciated!

I have got Nightly 49.0.2 build 1474711644.

Again & again I get all my settings reset, possibly even by a reinstall of Firefox. This seems to happen every day. It is bloody annoying because I have to correct my settings every time and I have my virus scanner rattling every time.

I have no clue what is happening. I have Update set to 'just check' or even 'never check', bu that does not make a difference. I do not even see new file dates, so it seems it is just the setting that get fucked up.

I had the upgrade policy set to ask before upgrading in ff56 but after a crash and restore I found that I was useing ff57. Now I can't find restore previous session which was under history.

I'm trying to update my Laptop (it's been about 7 years since I had it to use), and I continue to get this error message when I try to install/run Firefox. I deleted all the Mozilla/Firefox files I could find, but continue to get the same message each time I try...

I have been trying for weeks to solve this problem and figure out how it happened but I cannot download any type of file on Google Drive on Firefox and it's been bothering me. I have cleared my cookies, cache, history, saved logins, restarted on private browsing, changed numerous settings and deleted and reinstall Firefox and Abode Flash. Nothing has worked. I even deleted McAfee protection in case it was a firewall problem but that didn't work either.

I'm only having this problem on my HP laptop and on this browser. Downloading google drive files works on my Dell Laptop through any browser.

If anyone has any suggestions as to why this is happening and how to solve it, I would be very grateful. I provided a screenshot of the error every time I try to download a file.
