Since refreshing Firefox, my bookmarks have disappeard from the bookmarks toolbar, there's nothing there. But Bookmarks are correctly selected in 'view', and also in 'configure', and the list of all bookmarks shows my usual bookmarks located in the toolbar section. I have no idea what to do about this. I attach a screenshot showing the empty area under the addrss bar.

I created a 2nd profile for use at work. Initially my new profile came up with my personal bookmarks toolbar - which I use a lot. I assumed (bad idea) this was a copy and that I could edit it and modify it for work. It turned out that I was changing bookmarks toolbar for both profiles. I was hoping to use two different bookmarks toolbars one for each profile.

If my assumption was correct and I should be able to have independent profiles where did I go wrong?

How do I show the Firefox Bookmarks Toolbar at the top of the tab so it stays there all of the time? I have searched online and on Mozilla Firefox help and the instructions do not follow what I have on my iPad Pro 11. There is no place I can view or select or customize anything to do with the Bookmarks Toolbar or Menu. When a select the plus sign to open a new tab there is nothing but a search text box so I have no other choices. I want the toolbar and menu options to display all of the time. How do I make that happen? I have the latest updates for iPad Pro 11 and as far as I know for Firefox as well. Someone please help. I have been struggling with this same issue for days. I would attach a screen shot but I do not know how to do that using the iPad. Thank you. Marie.

I have a bookmark on my bookmark toolbar, that when I open the bookmark has no highlighted star to allow me to choose to remove it. I open the entire bookmark list and it doesn't even show in the bookmarks list. How can I delete this off my bookmark toolbar? It's like it doesn't exist but it's front and center showing up. It does work and go to a valid web page. But I don't want it on the toolbar. And can't find a way to get rid of it. I've cleared cache, restarted, updated, etc. Nothing works.

CentOS Linux finally upgraded FF 68esr to FF 82esr. Of course this had to break something. For years I have had a bookmark to "about:config?filter=signon.rememberSignoabout:config?filter=signon.rememberSignons" This allowed me to easily toggle on or off the prompt for my master password when I browsed a site for which I had stored credentials. This bookmark no longer works. It takes me to the generic about:config page but does not fill in the setting which I am looking for. Is there a way to fix this?

I used to have some sort of addon or other feature which allowed me to only unlock my saved credentials when I wanted to logon to a site. When that broke or went away I found the about:config setting and created a bookmark to it. Being prompted to unlock my stored credentials every time I hit a site for which I have credentials is very annoying. Leaving my credentials file unlocked is a security concern.

Any advice would be appreciated.

TIA,

Ken

I used some software that damaged one of the Windows user accounts (a local account, not a Microsoft one). I can no longer open Firefox to export the bookmarks. However, from another Windows login I am able to access the profile files, where a page on this site (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profiles-where-firefox-stores-user-data) says they are stored. I copied both folders to the desktop of the other user account. Now, how can I get Firefox to access the data in those files? I would like the passwords especially, but also the bookmarks if possible. I'm willing to open an entirely new user account on the computer, if that is required, and deposit the files there (I'll probably end up doing that anyway; the user account they came from is damaged beyond repair, and the one I'm using now is for business, not my personal use).

Hi. I recently reinstalled Windows 10, and so, reinstalled Firefox. I had a HTML bookmark file which I had exported from my Firefox before. It is a 3MB file containing over 200 bookmarks organized into folders. When I import it, nothing happens! Only about 10 of the bookmarks (last added bookmarks I guess) are added to the bookmarks menu. So there is two major problems: 1. I want all of my bookmarks imported. 2. I want them in the "folders" the way I categorized them before, NOT just a few links scattered in the bookmarks menu! that's absolutely useless.

This will be a huge time-consuming task to add and organize 200 bookmarks again manually. If Firefox can't solve this, I will definitely migrate to Chrome.

I posted this problem back when v.80.0 was out. It was later fixed, but now it's back.

Loading an external bookmark as the default start page in v.83.0 and using it as the default bookmark (file:///C:/Mine/Testing/BOOKMARK.HTM) creates an error.

The error is that clicking on any url in the bookmark to visit and then clicking the top left arrow to return will always bring you to the top of the bookmark. It used to bring you back to the same location on the bookmark. Now, it brings you back to the top of the bookmark. Thus making it necessary to scroll back down to the location (url) you just visited. Really annoying to have to keep do this in order to return to your original location in the bookmark.

Hope someone can help again.

The folder names are still there as before the update, but with no contents any more. Please fix this massive mistake. I don't want to loose all my Bookmarks in the symbol bar due to this update!
