Almost scammed by TeamView supposedly from Microsoft. Went into my computer to fix event logs.Wanted $109.00 now then asked if I had partial payment. So my dilemma is I don't know if what little security I have has been compromised. Not very computer literate. Installing Kaspersky today. My problem with Mozilla - tried to set master password but ok button doesn't work. Not on at all. What can I do? Thank you/

I often use the hungarian OTP bank online bank service nly on my personal macbook. Nobody else uses my comp. Last time when I tried to log in, the username and the account number (these are login data) were not mine! These werent a fake numbers, these were someone else's login details. The password field is always empty and at first glance I did not realize this fake numbers, I just typed my password and the login was unsuccesfull. When I checked the account number I realized these were unknown numbers, not mine. How does it happen?

Hi. I recently had to reinstall my bootdrive and software. Since then Firefox will not save my passwords. I am using a Mac Pro OS 10.6.8, Firefox is 33.1.1. I thought it was firefox, so I tried Safari and Chrome - same problem. My preferences are set to "Remember passwords for sites". There are no exceptions listed. There are no saved passwords listed either. Under Privacy > History. "Remember history"

I would appreciate any suggestions.

Thank you in advance.

Just finished turning off Firefox's auto updates on all of my computers. Because I had to learn to get in the habit of copying my Firefox profile about once a month. Why? Because I keep losing my settings! Mainly my passwords. This is now the 3rd update in a row that has dropped my passwords. 2nd time on that computer. (Windows 8.1) .

Please figure out why this occurs. (I can't be the only one). If it was always the same computer, I would point at it. But, the other 2 are Windows 7.

OR................ maybe...........instead of the profile being updated and possibly losing files, or over writing them. At the start of the update, say it makes a backup? Just in case v. 36,37,38,39,40,41,42.................cause the same issue. At least then if the passwords are the only issue, grab the 2 files and drop them back in the profile. done.

I hate sounding like a douche, just really freakin annoyed.

I reinstalled FireFox. Previously, I was prompted to remember passwords. Now, I am no longer prompted and I must sign in to FireFox evertime I open the brower. I checked the options page but the radio button on the security tab for "Remember Passwords for Sites" is greyed out and not accessible.

How do I turn on the "Remember Passwords for Sites" feature.

Hi, for some reason Firefox doesn't remember my passwords or won't display saved passwords. I've been through all the standard suggestions, checked all the settings and still no joy. Should I un- and re-install? It does keep asking for my master password (at every opportunity) but entering this makes no difference - it keeps asking and then, when I cancel, lets me proceed anyway!

Not sure what's going on...

Thanks

I am unable to logon to secure websites using known good logon information. The information has been successfully used for a long time with Internet Explorer. The Mozilla support site "Fix login issues on websites that require a username and password" procedures have not helped. In each case, the secure websites report that incorrect logon information has been provided. I then switch to IE and use the same information and the logon is successful.

When I view list of passwords and usernames I find "double entries" meaning the same username and password for the same site stored twice. Maybe this is because of the "refresh" (should be called deliberate crash) I did (never again) that resulted in an hour long unscheduled interruption while I scrambled to find the solution to restore settings?

I had been using numerous sites where I my username and password was appropriately retained using Firefox 36.0.4. With the update to 37.0.4, all this failed. My stored usernames and passwords failed. Deleting these credentials would not work - I would enter them, the dialogue about whether to store these would flash in the upper left of the browser window, and I would be asked for my credentials again. Happened on multiple sites on different servers. Deleting profile and reinstalling V37.0.4 did not fix. The only solution was to scrub out V37.0.4 and reinstall the prior V36.0.4. How to communicate this to the Firefox developers.
