But each time I am back to version 34, and get asked again, and again... 35 will download (shows up in my downloads folder), click on it to load, seems to work, but still I am back at 34. 35 doesn't show up anywhere, in Applications folder.

I got into trouble after being fooled ito believing I needed to update Flash Player. Sorted that eventually but found I had an invasion of adware.. Seemed to have got rid of most of that but have reason to suppose there is something lingering in Firefox. Decided to uninstall and bring in a clean version by later installing/ . Now fingdthat I cannot remove Firefox, it jumps out of the trash. I use help and went to restart with add ons disabled. The moment I pressed the safe restart button I was taken back to the first help page so someone or something does not want me to dump the current installed Firefox. The only solution I can think of is to reinstall OSX by restart and cmd +R. As I am on wi fi that meand findind canle and going eathernet aas on restart the wifi cuts off. Any help will be appreciated. Have iMAc 2.5GHz Intel core i5 Firefox 35 0 1 Using google, sometimes Yahoo OSX10.9.5 Maverick

I am trying to see the latest version of a website (https://tripelago.wordpress.com/) which has been upgraded with a different font. Despite clearing the Firefox cache, I still stubbornly only get the old version. If I access the same page with Chrome, I get the correct, updated version - so it is a Firefox problem.

I have a mailbox account at Yahoo.com. When I look at it using the Firefox browser, I can't read what the icons are supposed to do, because the icons are replaced by cryptic indications. See the first image. [I'm not sure it's uploading properly; if not, take my word that I'm getting little boxes with letters like E055, E01B, and so on, instead of little envelopes and normal icons for menus.]

In the Chrome browser, the icons show up properly. This is shown in the second image [if there is a 2nd image]

Do I need to add something to use the Yahoo site?

Thanks, Neal J. King

Duplicate (i.e.2) Firefox icons have appeared on my i-Mac toolbar. How do I remove one of these icons, please? Don't want to remove Firefox!! Have tried the "recommended" Apple method, i.e. dragging one of these icons and holding on to it ....then the duplicate icon should disappear. But it doesn't disappear ....the duplicate icon then just "jumps" back on to my tool bar at the bottom of the screen.

Have also tried holding the "command " key and then dragging the unwanted icon and holding on to it ...... but the same thing happens ......instead of disappearing, the icon just "jumps" back to my tool bar. Would be so grateful for any help and advice re the above. Thank you in anticipation of your kind help.

Hi, I'm a photographer not a web designer so excuse my lack of knowledge ... but i have a problem with Firefox displaying my website ... www.rodedwards.com.

I've just installed Wordpress on my server and installed a custom theme for my photography portfolio.

The website displays amazingly well with Chrome and Safari, but it has display errors with Firefox on Mac. The scrolling thumbnails in the galleries seem to download from top to bottom after viewing about twenty images (and reload again when scrolling back). This is the Youtube link to the problem http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rVEG7oqwPqg .

I've tried Hard Refresh but didn't work so i tried Firefox / Help / Restart With Add-Ons Disabled / Start In safe Mode and it then displays great. I'm guessing that this suggests there is a bug in Firefox or the add-ons since i updated to the most recent version of Firefox (now 35.0.1).

Can this be fixed now it's been noted ?

You advice would be much appreciated ... Thanks :)

Ps - It's not an image size problem as I've installed a similar copy at www.rodedwardsphoto.co.uk with smaller images and i still get same problem.

Until recently I could hit OPTION+SHIFT+Y in Firefox (desktop for Mac) and I'd be able to quickly view a webpage's CSS rules. I can't any longer. I'm not sure but I think this was a built-in tool from Firefox. Did this get dropped? Or moved? Where did this go?

I was recently on my University's blackboard website where I was trying to view a series of videos embedded in the website. Most time they would not work and Firefox recommended I needed to install a plug-in, but sometimes the videos would work. In a case where the video was not working, I clicked the small "block" tab that would appear as I hovered the mouse over where the video should be playing. A pop-up setting window opened and I began to click around to try to allow the media (flash or java or something, I don't remember) to play the video. I clicked a box that was labeled something like www.myuniversity.blackboard.edu^. After that I can no longer access any URL that contains the aforementioned text. I've search everywhere to find a way to undo this action and I can not find the same pop-up setting window anywhere. Please help.

Firefox 36: How can I KEEP my default search engine choice and avoid Yahoo Search?

Firefox 36 now insists I use Yahoo search by constantly changing my default search engine choice. No matter now many times I set it for Google, I'll search for something and it's Yahoo again. I've unchecked Yahoo in the search preferences, hoping it won't show up again. Have restarted Firefox several times. No luck.

Is my last resort to REMOVE Yahoo search from my list of search engines to keep this from happening? I MIGHT want to use it sometime later, but not every day.

ALSO. If this matters, When I populated this question with "installed plugins" information about my Mac and Firefox, a blank one appeared, so I went to tools > add-ons. That screen appeared for a second and instantly blipped away to another screen: DNS Yahoo Error Handler that had "developer garmin communicator plugin icon" filled in in the search request area. My web experience is being taken over by Yahoo now?
