I received a message 5 days ago regarding Firefox quantum. Each time I enter Firefox I get a prompt to allow an updater. I cancel this as I am not sure that the update will work on my computer. Regards, Alan Morris

I am using XP S/P 3 and am using 52.3.0esr as you stated that would be the last version applicable to me. Your email today sounded like good news BUT you did not detail that it would apply to my application.

I tried it and it worked but others may ignore your email thinking it would not apply to XP users. Suggest you explain that to your XP end of service users.

Gads! Another form with no formatting ability. Well, here goes. I added an extension to FireFox (FF). I love it, but, there is lite documentation of the addon, but no documentation I could muster up that describes what some of the results are. I have been through the github and the 'page' for the add-on. To ask the question at the add-on page requires one to have a Mozilla email account. Why the need for having to get another email account to pose one question?

BACKGROUNDER: The add-on is uBlock Origin v1.13.0. When one clicks on the "Requests Blocked" which is documented, there is some data as to what was blocked, along with + and - signs. For example, thi sform page right here has two blocked items. The list shows: mozilla.org support.mozilla.org + mozilla.com location.services.mozilla.com + mozilla.net mozorg.cdn.mozilla.net + support.cdn.mozilla.net + optimizely.com cdn.optimizely.com -

and that two were blocked. There is nothing describing what the + and _ mean in the column to the right. Nor how to tell which two were blocked. Gotta love that kewl GPS technology. Moz thinks I am in Canada!

This is really annoying, to have Moz tell me what is best for me, like it or not. QUESTION: How can I unclip from the Mozilla leash and update Adobe and STOP it from being blocked at random by Firefox?

WHY?: Today, as usual, Adobe Acrobat is blocked again. I let myself be led by the Moz leash and clicked "Update" beside Adobe Acrobat. I'm led to a Moz page that tells me I need to update Firefox version 52.2.1 Firefox Help > About shows version 52.2.1 "Firefox is up to date". IS UP TO DATE! get it yet? It can't be updated because it already is updated. Bad links in browser I gather? I want Adobe Acrobat to run, UNIMPEDED from annoying and monotonous interference from Mozilla telling me what is and isn't good for me. That's what we have governments, spouses, and Google for!

p.s. Some formatting tools here would being this area in to the 21st century and make it much easier for responders to read.

In XP 32-bit, If H.264 video failed to decode in Firefox (but not in Chrome, though Chrome stutters).....

....is it safe to Force-Enable media hardware video decoding in About:Config?

(in other words, to toggle it from "false" to "true"?

When the latest version of Firefox installed on my laptop, my account being in English had no problem. I have another user account that has Greek letters. When i signed in that account and tried to open Mozilla there was the following massage "Profile Missing" "Your Firefox profile cannot be loaded. It may be missing or inaccessible" I checked the user profile and it was there and the profile.ini file had the correct settings. I then uninstalled the Mozilla Firefox from the windows uninstaller. --> Reinstalled it --> The same . I then uninstalled the Mozilla Firefox from the windows uninstaller and manually delete all data in C:/Programm Files + C:/Users/.../AppData --> Reinstalled it --> The same . A new profile was created every time but for some reason the false massage didn't go away. I did try to create a new Firefox account through my other user account (with Firefox profile manager), --> The same I changed the settings within the Profile.ini file --> The same. I do have Kaspersky Internet security 2017 installed. And i did pause protection but the same. I beleive there is smth wrong with the new version when there are accounts with Greek letters. Please help to fixthis bug.

This shifting is up then down then up again, etc. This just started to happen this morning but had happened before a very long time ago.

I have tried the following:

1) restarting FF 2) restarting the computer 3) running in safe mode 4) viewing the same page previously saved to my computer instead of viewing the page directly on the web

Seems to be a FF problem. Have very few add-ons.

I have a problem since a few days, I can't use Flash on any website, I keep getting the message "this content needs flash" or stuff like that.

I did uninstall and reinstall Flash from Adobe website for Firefox. I did check last updates for Flash AND Firefox. I did check settings to make sure Flash was activated : it is.

I did change some settings in about:config a long time ago but hadn't any troubles, could it be that ? What should I do ?

When I check document.cookie, I saw "popunder=yes; popundr=yes; setover18=1" at the end of the set cookies by the webserver or by javascript code. So, it was clear that these cookies are set afterwards. But, how?

I am running an old computer using XP. All I want to do on this computer is view Virtual Railfan live streaming videos. When I try to view a video, it says that my browser doesn't recognize any of the video formats available. Then it points me to a html5 faq. When I click on that I go to Firefox home page and it wants me to download Firefox. I already have downloaded the latest Firefox. Is there a workaround for this?

either from history or when typed into address bar usa7s.com goes to usa7s.net instead. this is an event that started today.

After installing Speed Start, I lost the Bookmarks toolbar buttons for all my favorites. When I try to add more bookmarks to the toolbar they are listed in the sidebar but do not get new buttons. I have disabled Speed Start to fix this and it still does not work. Because 57 is horrible I use 52.5 ESR with no plans to upgrade.
