Since I installed Debian on a PC with the latest generation Intel Alder Lake graphics card, Firefox has exhibited strange behaviors during video playback. I've tried several versions, including the ESR version distributed with the operating system, version 122, and even the beta. The issue remains the same: while watching videos, especially on sites like YouTube or others, the browser may freeze approximately once every hour. It freezes completely, sometimes when I skip ahead in the video, sometimes when I open another one, and sometimes when I rewind.
The complete freeze of Firefox can only be resolved by killing the process. I've tried several things:
Disabling 3D acceleration.
Removing any extensions, reinstalling Firefox, and so on.
Removing user/data profiles of any kind.
Firefox freezes with an error of type "syscall | g_futex_Wait," indicating it seems to be waiting for something. I can't find anything like this on the internet. It could be something related to the graphics card, but I have no idea.
Has anyone had a similar experience? Here's the crash ID reported: 75e975b5-eb12-4fc4-8bfc-d57de0240202. Thank you very much.
