I cannot get Firefox to open at all. This has been an issue on this laptop for a while now. I un-installed it including removing the Program Files sub-folder for Firefox. After the installer completed, it tried to open it and it crashed. I have the latest Windows 10 updates installed and have run security scans on this laptop from various vendors. There is no spyware, viruses or other malware.

Since yesterday updating from Firefox 51.0.0 (I presume it was 64 bit, but I didn't notice), I can no longer print a Web page either to my printer or to Acrobat. Attached is a screen shot of the error message produced.

This is EXTREMELY annoying -- I just tried to print my boarding pass; had to take a screen shot and print that, which I can only hope will be scanned correctly by the boarding machines!

Is there a work around or a fix coming soon for this?

Why did I get switched from 64 bit (I'm pretty sure, since I'm running 64 bit Windows 7 SP1) to 32 bit for this update? Does this have something to do with my printing problems?

So the past 2 months now I've been experiencing firefox crashing.

The main reasons I can parse out. Looking at stores on clips4sale or facebook news feed or deviantart now tonight which is very much like looking at images on pinterest or google, something I haven't done for a while.

It also seems to me that it doesn't just happen right away, but after a certain amount of time perhaps?

Anyway, the last 2 times now it's been so bad so that my computer literally has locked up. I can't even use control+alt+delete.

I ran my crash report and there was nothing.

Not an IT person at all so I have no clue how to fix this. When it froze up my machine the first time I ran update on Norton and then ran a system wide scan, but found nothing. Having been a computer user for over 10 years and having had really nasty viruses years ago when I was more unaware of some of the dangers on the web I doubt it is a virus.

Nothing else, but firefox has been affected and only firefox seems to be crashing my machine.

Hello!

I'm getting rid of my computer and need to clean out all my personal info, so the next owner cannot access it.

What is the best way to go about deleting information that Firefox may have? (bookmarks, stored passwords, anything stored in the profile or other locations, browsing history, etc.?)

Thanks in advance!

I have never experienced cookies on Firefox from my settings. After today's update I am seeing cookies left on my computer, the same number of them no matter what site I am going to. Why is Firefox generating cookies on my computer ? If you cannot or will not stop this I need to roll back to the previous non-tracking version. If that is not possible then I will have go back to IE and Chrome. One of the main reasons I use Firefox was to avoid this nonsense and it was lightweight. I have always recommended Firefox to my clients but depending on your response that may all change.

Hello! I'm a long-time Firefox user and I've noticed that after the latest (Januray, 2017) update there are two "firefox.exe *32" processes in my Task Manager. I wanted to know why? I googled this, and older topics (2014, 2016) said there can be a virus, but this never happened before, only after this update. Normally, the second process only takes up some 2000 to 30.000 kb, but now it takes as much as the first one (200.000+ kb). It's somewhat annoying because I really like Firefox but don't want it to turn into Chrome, eating up RAM and stuff. Please explain this to me, or fix it. Thank you!

Hi, after updating opening page in new tab via right click gives me blank page. Oh and apparently it's also happened when I entering site via address bar, but clicking a link loads the page normally.

The blank page usually last only around a mere 0.5 second to the dreaded 2 seconds, and after that the page will kind of reloading itself (or maybe start connecting?) and start loading normally. The thing is in some case—around one in twelve—the page stuck at that blank page, and I have to reload the page to fix it.

Hello,

I've installed VLC and didn't notice the VLC mozilla plug-in, so it replaced my Adobe Flash player. Since then every video I want to open it just opens in a new tab & without the frame-preview.

I've tried these steps: Uninstall VLC. Uninstall flash player. Re-installed flash player again.

After I've Re-installed flash player alone, Videos are still opens in a new tab. So how can I get flash player back as the default player, especially it disappeared from the list of options/applications, even webm (or something disappeared).

Intermittently throughout the day one of my tabs goes to this screen. Windows Defender is up to date and finds no spam. Firefox is up to date. I use only a zoom plugin, and firebug.

It's obviously spam, but I have no idea how to remove it. I believe the URL is the same each time this happens.

HELP! I have Windows 7 - 64bit PC and I have a subscription with Videoblocks.com and Mozilla Fire Fox is my default browser I have used for years. When I go to the Videoblocks website, Mozilla Firefox will NOT allow me to SEARCH for videos I wish to download. As soon as I type in the Search box there and hit enter, my computer freezes up and in the lower right hand corner of the screen it always says, "Readd2zah9y47r7bi2.clearfront.net" "Readd2zah9y47r7bi2.cloudfront.net". After that, if I touch anywhere on the screen, the screen turns to white and then my mouse starts twirling. You have to exit out and then you get error messages and you have to exit out of that until you're completely out of it. I have the newest update of Firefox. I have WebrootSecureAnywhere and it did not detect that anything is wrong. For trouble shooting (1) I have cleared out all of my history, (2) I did a Firefox refresh (3) I've uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox numerous times, (4) I've done a system restore several times all to no avail. I tried this on my husband's computer and it does the same exact thing so it's not just my computer. I have no viruses on my computer nor does he. I use Firefox all the time for this endeavor as I am a video producer and then all of a sudden it started doing this; it's like this simple feature is now broken! I even called Videoblocks and Webroot and they had no answers for me. PLEASE HELP!! This is very disconcerting! How do I fix this please?

I am getting an error in my desktop Firefox about my certificate being revoked. It only seems to happen on this desktop (Windows 7) though, as I am able to visit the same site with Firefox on my Android device as well as in Firefox under my Xubuntu virtual machine. The certificate is signed by StartSSL, but it is valid, and signed recently enough that it shouldn't be affected by the compromise that happened a year or two back. I generated a test certificate using Let's Encypt and it works fine, but I don't want to deal with the hassle of creating a new LE certificate every three months. My hosting provider doesn't support it directly, so I have to do the manual steps on gethttpsforfree.com. That gets really annoying when you have to do 10 authorizations at a time for all your sub-domains. I tried generating a brand new certificate on startssl.com, but immediately get the same error when installing it.

I have tried deleting the cert8.db file out of my profile, but that doesn't seem to resolve the issue. I feel like this may be an intermediate cert issue, but I can't extract any details out of Firefox, so that's just speculation on my part. It just straight up refuses to even show me why the certificate is bad. Is there a way to flush out the intermediate certificates and force Firefox to retrieve new data? It's frustrating that any browser except Firefox is perfectly content with this certificate. Am I missing something?
