Why do my tags disappear?
I've used tags for a while to organize my inbox. Recently, I created a new tag but when I applied it the tag would disappear when I clicked on anything at all. The tag would still be in the list, but would not stay associated with the message.
My Thunderbird is current. I'm using a Toshiba Satellite laptop that runs Windows 7 Home Premium 32 bit.
Here is the troubleshooting info from Thunderbird:

I do not have an answer, only some suggestions.
Copy a mail to a "local folder" location and apply your tag. Does it stay?
Apply a random selection of Thunderbird inbuilt tags to emails. Do they stay applied (all of them)
Tagging is a cooperative activity in IMAP mail accounts, between client and server. It might be the server is limited to only certain tags.
Hi Glo45, Check out the Manage tags... option as well to see if the tags you are using are defined in Thunderbird or in the mail provider's interface/server.
