Browser not showing cookies even on sites i know are putting are using them. Never shows my cookies anymore
I do not know why but suddenly I never seen cookies in my cookies list even on sites i know for a fact use them and have seen them many many times before like Google maps and such. I did not change any settings just one day i look at cookies to clear them as i usually do and nothing was show, it has been 2 weeks and never a single on show. I have try fiddling with the settings but nothing seems to work I'm worried there might be a virus my anti-virus is not seeing that is hiding the cookies.
I tried and found the personal info folder but there is no folder for the cookies to manually delete them so I can find no way of being sure of what is going on to handling it.

hello, the behaviour you're describing might be the case when you've set firefox to permanently run in private browsing mode ("never create a history" under firefox > options > privacy)...

I have always used always run in privacy mode, in fire fox but still i see cookies if i have the accept cookies from sites box checked. I have run the same way for the past 3 years. Now however even with the box checked I never see any cookies listed even on pages i know uses them and have in the same mode seen them.
yes it's a known issue & dealt with in bug#823941 (please don't post in bug reports).
