You need to remove the settings that mixdj changed without your permission, use Firefox reset to do that easily Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings

This Bar is distributed with some shareware and freeware and hijacks ones searches. To remove it you should Reset Firefox preferences to troubleshoot and fix problems . It is advisable to uninstall the programs you installed just before noticing it in FF. For other browsers removal instructions can be found here.

It's not possible to uninstall it, because it nowhere appears!!! It's no toolbar and no add-on and it appears even not in the system. It certainly is stored under another name. Who knows anything about it?

I downloaded something a while ago and that's when this toolbar popped up. I did actually uninstall the program and the bulk of the toolbar and everything associated with it went away. However, a piece of it still remained. Whenever I opened a new tab, I'd get that MixDJ page and search bar on it and when opening IE, that was suddenly my default page. What I just did that got rid of it was just go to my Firefox Add-ons. The item was listed there. I just told it to disable and revert back to my original settings. Restarted Firefox and it's happily gone! Just thought I'd share.

Just FYI, we blocked MIXDJ today, so this should no longer be an issue for future users.

Oh fine! Who is "we"? And what do I have to do to stop it?

"We" is Mozilla, and MixDJ (the add-on) is now blocked from being installed into Firefox unless a user specifically allows it. You don't have to do anything else to stop them :)

Today I installed Firefox 21.0, but Mixi Dj Search still is on every new tab I open!!! There are no questions if I want it or not and it nowhere appears, neither as a program nor as a plugin or add-on!
