Kann Firefox nicht neu installieren
Ich habe Thunderbird und Firefox vor einigen Wochen deinstalliert und kann es nun nicht mehr wieder installieren. Beim Download passiert folgendes: 1. Sicherheitsüberprüfung 1-2 Minuten lang (zu lang?) 2. Extracting 3. Run as Meldung: "You may not have the nessesary permissions to use all the features of the program you are about to run. You may run this program as a different user or continue to run the program as the current user. 4a. Bei Eingabe von Run the Program as Administartor + Password erscheint die Fehlermeldung: "Anmeldung Fehlgeschlagen: unbekannter Benutzername oder falsches Kennwort" (beide korrekt!) 4b. Bei Eingabe von Run as current user passiert NICHTS MEHR
In Foren ist das Problem bekannt aber der Hinweis auf alte Profile bringt mich nicht weiter, da kein Ordner Mozilla Firefox existiert bzw eine Profile Datei oder der Profilemanager auffindbar sind. Es existiert noch ein Ordner MozBackup (hier gibt es ein File Default.mozprofile) und den Ordner Mozilla Thunderbird der bis auf eine Date nsIQTScriptablePlugin.xpt leer ist.
Eine Bereinigung es Rechners mit ccCleaner wurde durchgeführt ( nach Auftreten des Problems) Das gleiche Problem tritt beim Installieren von Thunderbird auf, aber nicht bei anderen Programmen.
Ich hoffe jemand kann mir helfen.

Hello Cor-el thanks, you advises brought me to the solution track - and I know I am not alone with this problem. The problem was that firefox was deinstalled and it is impossible to reinstall the software because of an incompleted broken download process. So a folder as mozilla firefox or even a firefox.exe does not exist at that stage. And here your advice brought the breakthrough. What I did was the following: Step 1. I select "save the program" instead of "run the program" when I started the download process to have an exe-file Step 2. go to desktop folder\downloads\firefox_setup_15.0.1.exe Step 3. right click: run as administrator Step 4. feel the happiness when the program get installed without any trouble after many frustrating failures. Hope this small manual will help others too, however it does not explain the root cause of the problem. Somebody of the software developer should get aware of it, but I am new here and have no idea how to do this.

Hmm, probiere bitte einmal, die UAC-Einstellungen zu veraendern: http://windows.microsoft.com/de-DE/windows7/What-are-User-Account-Control-settings
Und schau mal, ob die Einstellung "Immer benachrichtigen" aktiviert ist.
Das hatte ich mir auch schon angesehen. Ich habe bisher die Standardstufe eingestellt "nur bei Programänderungen". Die Einstellung "Nie benachrichtigen" habe ich mich nicht getraut, da dann alle Sicherheiten raus sind und es müsste eigentlich ja auch so möglich sein.
Did you try to run the Firefox installer as Administrator (right-click: Run as Administrator)?
cor-el sorry that I explained my problem in german to make it easier for me to understand. However it looks the solution is not easy and I need the ww comunity to help. Yes I tried both run as administrator receiving the error message "registration failed unknown user name or bad password" (both ok) I case of run as current user nothing happend. Because it is a private single user laptop there is only one user account installed with administrator rights.
Note that having Administrator rights isn't sufficient in current Windows versions.
That usually only suppresses the prompt to enter the Administrator password when required.
You still need elevated permissions to make changes to the Program files folder and the registry and using "Run as Administrator" should give you such permissions.
This can also happen if you run the program as Administrator.
Check that Firefox isn't set to run as Administrator.
Right-click the Firefox desktop shortcut and choose "Properties".
Make sure that all items are deselected in the "Compatibility" tab of the Properties window.
- Privilege Level: "Run this program as Administrator" should not be selected
- "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" should not be selected
Also check the Properties of the firefox.exe program in the Firefox program folder (C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\).

Ich habe heute mehrfach versucht Firefox zu installieren, ist aber dann weder auf dem Desktop noch sontwo zu finden, ist das downloaden fehlgeschlagen und was kann ich tun.Ich hatte Firefox schon mal auf dem rechner musste es aber wegen techn:problemen deinstallieren, jetzt bekomme ich Firefox nicht mehr drauf!

Hallo Katrin, bei mir war es die Lösung den neuen Firefox Download zunächst erst einmal abzuspeichern und die Datei erst dann auszuführen. ( save file anstatt run file beim download) Hast du dies schon probiert?
