Sites automatically set Firefox to allow cookies from themselver, even when told explicitly not to
Using engadget.com as an example. I have "Allow cookies from sites" set to off. Exceptions are only listed for google.com. I browse to "engadget.com". Suddenly, I have under my exceptions: "engadget.com" : "Allow". Other sites do this as well.
I've tried clearing my browser cache, the cookies.sqlite file, and got rid of all flash objects.
I didn't set it, I didn't ask the site to set it, so how did they set it? How do I stop it?

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Well, apparently one of my "privacy" plugins is not respecting my default settings. I guess now comes the part of activating one at a time until I find the right one.
