hit F11 on the keyboard. If that doesn't work then create a new Firefox profile by following these steps

• Go to Run (win icon + R on keyboard) and paste "firefox.exe -profilemanager" without the quotes.
• create a new account in the dialog (close Firefox before you make one)

If you are in full screen mode then hover the mouse to the top to make the Navigation Toolbar and Tab bar appear.
You can click the Maximize button at the top right to leave full screen mode or right click empty space on a toolbar and use "Exit Full Screen Mode" or press F11.

F11 was the only thing that worked; I hovered all over the place, to no avail. Interestingly, when I hovered at the top, however, the toolbars would flash very briefly on, but disappear.

Cannot exit full screen mode in firefox 6.0.2. Pressing F11 does not exit full-screen mode (it doesn't do anything when pressed; the screen doesn't react at all when F11 is pressed). Right-click--> exit full screen mode is not available (I placed the mouse pointer at the top right portion of the screen and the top of the screen just flickers up a down a bit (about 1.5 mm) but no toolbars or anything appear. Right clicking anywhere does not bring up any menus on the screen (right clicking does nothing). Firefox.exe -profilemanager does not create a new profile (it just opens up another full screen session of firefox). Currently running Windows 7 with all current updates. I had previously installed r-kiosk full-screen plugin on a previous version of firefox; however, I thought firefox 6 uninstalled that plugin. Totally stuck here in full screen mode with just a Google search screen. Any ideas(besides totally uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox--losing all bookmarks in the process)?
