My google bar disappeared and I cannot get it to appear again. I use a MAC. This is very irritating! Please help!

When I open up Firefox my Google toolbar no longer displays below the Bookmarks toolbar. I tried to find similar issues and didn't find any solutions to this. I confirmed that Google Toolbar is checked in the "View/Toolbars" area, but it still won't display for me. Your help would be greatly appreciated as it is very annoying not having it when I go online.
