Recently firefox will not access any web site on Acer Aspire 1 under linux
For last few days firefox will not access any site even though wireless network is connected ok. Netbook runs other applications ok with no issues. When browser shortcut is selected, browser shortcut rotates for a few seconds then stops. Nothing else happens.
Can sometimes get message "failed to execute default web browser. Input/Output error"

I had same problem (Acer Aspire One LINUX). Reloaded FireFox using instructions here:

Worked a treat.

Posted fix re reloading Firefox using wget worked fine. Thanks to all involved
This isn't really a fix - just avoiding the problem with Firefox 4 and Linpus Linux Lite.
When will Linpus Linus Lite users be able to install a functioning version of Firefox 4 ??
There is a fix for this issue with Firefox 2 (as used in Linpus Lite) here:

Along with instructions for installing Firefox 4
