Firefox audio does not work (only browser affected)

Issue description Audio does not work only in Firefox. Audio works correctly in other browsers (Chrome / Edge) and in all local applications.

I have already performed all standard and advanced troubleshooting steps: verified correct audio output device (Realtek speakers) checked per-application volume mixer tested with a brand-new Firefox profile used Firefox “Refresh” (factory reset) full uninstall and clean reinstall started Firefox with no add-ons, no sync, no import system reboot Firefox remains completely silent even in a clean, default state.

System information Windows 10 22H2 Acer Swift 3 laptop Intel i7-7500U Realtek audio (working correctly with other apps and browsers)

This appears to be a Firefox-specific issue related to Windows audio handling (WASAPI / Media Foundation), since the system audio stack is otherwise functioning normally.

I would like to know if this is a known issue and whether there are specific Firefox logs or diagnostic options that can help identify the cause.
