How did a clean install of Firefox find my previous stored passwords and bookmarks?
I deleted every Firefox and Mozilla file and folder I could find on my Mac. This was a scorched-Earth deletion (or so I thought). The Firefox application, my profile folder, any user Library files I could find, even caches - I deleted everything. The hope was I could reinstall a pristine version of Firefox (Firefox has been going zombie on me since May). I installed the latest download, signed into my Firefox account - and suddenly, it knew all my previous-used passwords and bookmarks. I thought these were stored in your Profiles folder (and not in the cloud somewhere) -- which I had deleted? How did Firefox find them if they were no longer on my Mac?
