Leaving my computer on/open through earling morning 5-6-20, find on my screen the following of I encountered, and wanted to report!

Asking first... Was this a ligitimate request? And then continues, actions I took,... to view control panel for dates of possible instals 'by recent dates',... intention to uninstall(s).

We're Sorry Firefox had a problem and crashed. We'll try to restore tabs and windows when it restarts. To help us diagnose and fix the problem, you can send us a crash report (?-checkmark box) Tell Mozilla about the crash so they can fix it Details (?) Add a comment (comments are publicly visable) (?-checkmark box) Include the address of the page I was on (?-checkmark box) Allow Mozilla to contact me about this report (?)Enter your email address here Your crash report will be submitted before you quit or restart.

I cancelled the checkmark, of the 'screen box asked for the query-report', did not submit! Then hard started-shutdown my computer!

GUESS WHAT? My OPEN SCREEN had a BACKGROUND of a CHINESE PAGODA and LAKE MURAL! Not anything I consciously I would open with!

Continuing I went to Control Panel! Control panel showed a 5-5-20 application, Publisher Google Chrome, I didn't install or reinstall this 'date period'! Next line showed a 4-29-20 application, Publisher Google Chrome, I'm sure I didn't need to install or reinstall, but while I often daily go to Google Search.

FOLLOWING:

Also showed three (3) issues in Control Panel, on 'close dates other installs', I am going to UNINSTALL Verified Publisher London Jamocha-xyz,... were of SAME TYPE 'AdoptOpenJDK - Open source, prebuilt OpenJDK binaries (adoptopenjdk.net)

Hi,

Thanks for letting us know. The "We're Sorry Firefox had a problem and crashed..." message is a legitimate message. To view crashes backlogged and not submitted, visit about:crashes (type it in as one word into the address bar) and you can view the crashes that may have occurred.

Since you do have unrecognized programs installed on your device, you can try these free programs to scan for malware, which work with your existing antivirus software:

Further information can be found in the Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware article.

If you continue to experience further issues with malware or viruses, we suggest contacting a local repair center.
