I have multi-email accounts on TB. I got the "Sending of password for user ____@gmail.com did not succeed. Mail server pop.googlemail.com responded: Web login required: https://support.google.com/mail/answer/78754" error message on two of them, and immediately after TB ran an auto update. I've had occasional 'log in via web' security validations over the years with Gmail (I travel extensively) and usually I log in get the auto prompts and alls well. This however is a different beast, no prompts, no instructions,. Ive read all I can, tried all I can and am at the point of just going backwards to web-based usage (which is a killer as Im fully integrated with TB and have years of emails on it... Can anyone help?

Im using POP on all the email accounts and have the 'use less secure' thing enabled in Gmail?Google account pages

Is this a question or a statement? In any case, you'll have to 'allow less secure apps' in your Google account settings when using POP.

You already posted the Google support link for this yourself.

Maybe I should be clearer, Yes I have the allow less secure apps in place and I've worked through the Google support links info such that it is, I should also say that the two accounts affected are only different to the other (unaffected ones) in that they are both associated with my Google account, but even so, I don't see how that should be a factor

Well, after burning the midnight oil (and then some) I returned to this-this morning after a scant few hours sleep fretting over years of fine tuned database on TB falling by the way side....... Gunned up the desktop, TB and , dear lord, all accounts download!

This defies all logic and flys in the face of everything I attempted before retiring last night.

But whatever Gods are smiling on me today many thanks.

And I thank you "christ1" for your immediate and helpful assistance in this matter, which (please God) is at an end

Regards
