QR codes not shown in Firefox 65.0

Dear...,

Unfortunately QR codes are shown very short (about 1 sec.) in Firefox 65.0 OSX 10.11.6. I have triedt to roubleshoot Firefox in normal and safe mode. Alas, to no reveal. Chrome or Safari do not have this problem. The QR codes being used are e.g. 2-stage verification on Dutch government sites and Whatsapp web. Any ideas to solve this problem?
