If you haven't done this, please try it now;
Let’s do a full clean re-install;
Download Firefox For All languages And Systems {web link}
Save the file. Then Close Firefox.
Using your file browser, open the Programs Folder on your computer.
Windows: C:\Program Files C:\Program Files (x86)
Mac: Open the "Applications" folder. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-download-and-install-firefox-mac
Linux: Check your user manual. If you installed Firefox with the distro-based package manager, you should use the same way to uninstall it. See Install Firefox on Linux; https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/install-firefox-linux
If you downloaded and installed the binary package from the Firefox download page, simply remove the folder Firefox in your home directory. http://www.mozilla.org/firefox#desktop ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Look for, and remove any Mozilla or Firefox program folders. Do not remove the Mozilla Thunderbird folder if there is one.
Do Not remove any profile folders.
After rebooting the computer, run a registry scanner if you have one. Then run the installer. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++ If there is a problem, start your Computer in safe mode and try again.

Hiya Fred,
Thanks for the quick reply. The only thing I see besides Mozilla Firefox is Mozilla Maintenance Service..........I should keep that?
Thanks Natalie
Did you remove the Mozilla Firefox folder during your re-install? If not, follow my instructions above.
Hiya..........yayyyyy so far so good :) Looks like the download you sent worked perfectly.
Thanks again Fred

Thank you for contacting Mozilla Support.
The people who answer questions here, for the most part, are other Firefox users volunteering their time (like me), not Mozilla employees or Firefox developers.
If you want to leave feedback for Firefox developers, you can go to the Firefox Help menu and select Submit Feedback... or use this link. Your feedback gets collected by a team of people who read it and gather data about the most common issues.
Hiya............sorry to say its doing the same thing again. No favorite places and can use the address bar. It seems like it does what it wants.
Help :)
Natalie
and cant use address bar
PS Tried to type in web site in address bar and it just sits there. Only reason I can get to support is via help on right side of screen :(
Appreciate your help
Thanks Natalie
Now..........it pops up right when I select a new tab.....its not right
Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} by holding down the <Shift> (Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox.
A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?
Started it in safemode..........Seems to be working ok now.........I existed safemode then restarted it will keep testing things and so far so good
Keep you posted and thanks again so much.

It could be the work of one of your add-ons, or it could be Hardware Acceleration. How to disable Hardware Acceleration {web link}
Type about:addons<enter> in the address bar to open your Add-ons Manager. Hot key; <Control> (Mac=<Command>) <Shift> A)
In the Add-ons Manager, on the left, select Extensions. Disable a few add-ons, then Restart Firefox.
Some added toolbar and anti-virus add-ons are known to cause Firefox issues. Disable All Of them.
If the problem continues, disable some more (restarting FF). Continue until the problem is gone. After, you know what group is causing the issue. Re-enable the last group ONE AT A TIME (restarting FF) until the problem returns.
Once you think you found the problem, disable that and re-enable all the others, then restart again. Let us know who the suspect is, detective.
LOL your detective.....yes I do beta testing and now.....when I go to the address bar like for bedbathandbeyond it does nothing so we know something is hold it and allowing it to be very erratic. The tabs are not working.
Will check back after I do all of the above
- )
Well I have no addons now what?
Ok I cant do searches at all in google bar or in address bar...........something is not hooking right..........you/we will find it
Should I do a refresh altho I would not think that would help I just did a clean install.
That will have to be your choise.
Refreshing Firefox {web link} is a LAST RESORT ! !
Refreshing Firefox -- easily fix most problems
If you're having problems with Firefox, refreshing it can help. The refresh feature fixes many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your essential information like bookmarks and open tabs. Everything else, like user settings and add-ons, are removed.
Gotta stuck here its just not acting right something is in the way.................any more ideas out there? The tabs are not responsive and its driving me crazy lol
Thanks
Please explain the problem in detail. What happens? What is the exact error messages?
Well like right now I went to my favorites in middle of page clicked on it a tab opened and nothing else the wheel is just spinnning. I get no errors at all
- )
I have one place opened and that tab I mentioned before is still spinning.......... so the tabs are not working right.
I tried my fav for blogtalkradio and that one opened ok. It very erratic
