It is frustrating and aggravating that junk like https://d3vgsscots6lqd.cloudfront.net/assests/eng_ff_auth.html can still try to hijack my system for ransom. As yet, I am unable to close the window. In the not too distant past, such sites were more difficult to defeat as browsers have improved, and I have not run across one this stubborn in some time. Perhaps I have just been fortunate, but I am disappointed these dogs are still enjoying even the tiniest bit of success even in slowing people (like me) down, much less possibly still successfully scamming people out of money.

Sometimes resorting to using Task Manager to end the task/close the browser works fine, and I will likely use it this time. Besides hoping for a clever to my simple mind recommendation that will defeat this window short of closing the browser, I would also appreciate any suggestions. I tend to usually have many tabs open at the same time as I stumble across things that peak my interest and I hope to get back to later, and rather than tie up space with bookmarks, I simply leave them open for an entire session. For this current blocking me window, however, I will be forced to bookmark all open tabs before closing Firefox to close that particular window. All guidance and attempts to help are appreciated. Thanks. blendedrisk69@gmail.com

As much as there is to dislike and distrust about Chrome, it is easiest to use. Regardless, I try to use Firefox
