Firefox crashes when File Browser dialog summoned
There have been many, many reports of Firefox (post Quantum) crashing when the Windows File Browser dialog is summoned. I've attempted a number of "solutions" proffered, none effective. Fact of the mater is, Firefox worked and then you went and broke it. I'm sure you suspect how you managed to break it. I've been a loyal user for over a decade now- but that is coming to an end with this debacle. Every time I'm required to interact with local files, I open up another browser to address the need. I begin to wonder why not just use the functional tool and say goodby to the Fox?
It was a good run, Firefox- I'll miss you.

In the address bar, type about:crashes<enter>. Note: If any reports do not have BP- in front of the numbers/letters, click it to submit them.
The crash report is several pages of data. We need the report numbers to see the whole report.
Using your mouse, mark the most recent 7 - 10 crash reports, and copy them. Now go to the reply box and paste them in.

As has been commonplace, crashing spawns no error report; I provoked a crash by attempting to attach a file to Gmail just now.
From 30% of all browsers down to a generous 5% (if mobile devices are ignored)- what happened? What is so fundamental about this failure that it can't be put back in the bottle? When was alpha, beta testing abandoned?
