In Thunderbird how do I get tagged messages to remain at the top of the inbox?

At one point my tagged messages ('Important' 'Work' 'To Do' etc) appeared at the top of the 'In' box All remaining messages were sorted by date Thunderbird has reverted to sort by date only and the tagged messages are within the rest Is there a way to get the tagged messages to stay at the top?
