How can I import all 350 .vcf files (old Live Mail contacts) at a time into Thunderbird's Address Book - I only seem to be able import one .vcf file at a time.
I followed directions for using the add-on ImportExport Tools. When I get to the point of importing from the folder with all the contacts in .vcf format, the usual ways in Windows of selecting more than one (such as Ctrl-A for selecting all of them) don't work. (If I go to the file itself in Windows, I can easily select all of them at once.) But I can only select one at a time using the tools to import into the Thunderbird Address Book, which would be very tedious with 350 contacts! Thank you for any help!

Select one of the named address books first. It defaults to All Address Books, which is a virtual address book and you can't import into that.

I did the installation for MoreFunctionsForAddressBook. It seems to be installed, but when I try to use it through the Tools in the Address Book, "Actions for Contacts" is faded out and not available, so I still can't do the import.
If you have a suggestion on how to make the installation work better, I'd very much appreciate it!

I was busy with meetings much of the day so was slow in getting back to this.
It took me a couple of tries to get the steps right, but the advice above from Zenos did work for importing all the contacts at once. Many, many thanks -- you've saved me a lot of frustration!
I have thunderbird on my old computer with windows 7 and my new computer has windows 10. I have 3 email addresses for business I would like to move the contacts & folders (quite a lot). I also have a windows live mail on the old computer & I want to do the same. On my new computer I now vies that account in thunderbird but I am not sure how to get my windows live mail into my new thunderbird. Please help.

The article noted in my first reply explains how to transfer mail and contacts from WLM to TB.
The only problem with that is for some reason my new computer chose a name for me - when my old computer is under my name - so they dont seem to want to merge since they are 2 different names...
