You may have a corrupt cookies.sqlite file. Delete cookies.sqlite + cookies.sqlite.old + cookies.sqlite-shm + cookies.sqlite-wal

May I ask about any reasons to be on ESR versus the Release version of Firefox?

Ok, I'll try disabling those extensions, but they were in use on previous version with no problems.

When I upgraded to the latest version of Firefox I started having the problem with being logged out from various sites. Searching through help one of the solutions was install a previous version. The link given took me to the ESR version. Unfortunately the problem is with either ESR or release version.

Ah that makes sense. Cook Culler is actually no longer supported in Firefox 57+.

I see that in Webroot's documentation that the extension is used for " blocking protection against malicious websites, realtime anti-phishing protection, and safety ratings when using search engines." and that you might be able to disable certain features within the extension to see if this might have an affect.
