Can I recover my deleted archive files. I have lost all of my other files as a result.
I started cleaning up my files. I don't use the archive folder yet 1,400+ files were in there. I recognize them as ones that I wanted. I had placed all of these files previously in sub folders so I could find them easily. I could see no reason for the double up of file locations so I deleted all of my Archives not realizing that the sub folder content would be deleted as well. Can I recover tall these files?

Please confirm...were the 'subfolders' containing emails actually in the 'Archives' folder?
eg: > Archives > > subfolder with emails > > subfolder with emails
Or do you mean:
the 'Archives' folder had a list of emails which you have just deleted.
But, in a completely different folder - please state name of folder - you had a list of subfolders containing emails.
When you deleted the emails in 'Archives' folder, are they now in the 'Trash' folder ? If yes, you can highlight, right click and select move to Archives folder.

If you have an email and you archive it, it should only be in one place..in the Archive folder.
Are you talking about a gmail account ? If no then what server if not gmail? Are you talking about an imap mail account?

Actually the Mozzila had placed the files in archives which I didn't understand. My action of cleaning out the archives file( because I didn't put them there) actually deleted the file from the folders that I had placed them in. I mentioned it to my son and just straight away said " did you look in the deleted file to see if they were there?" Yep they were all there. Thanks for your input.
