I've looked through my settings, and I don't know why a grocery chain whose ads I am trying to view is giving me this message. "Oops! This content is blocked by your browser's private browsing or ad blocking. To view this content, please exit private browsing or disable ad blocking for this site."

I am using Firefox Quantum 58.2. I had a much older version on an old computer with XP and am now using Windows 10.

Thanking you in advance for your help.

Hi,

If you don't use an ad blocker and are not in private browsing mode, then let's try Firefox in Safe Mode to see if maybe one of your add-ons is the culprit (if you have any) :

If Firefox is not running : Hold down the Shift key when starting Firefox.

If Firefox is running : 3-bar menu => ' ? ' (at the bottom of the dropdown) => 'Restart with Add-ons disabled'. Then OK the restart. A small dialog should appear. Click 'Start in Safe Mode' ( not 'Refresh' !)

There is Tracking Protection that can block (wanted) content.

Note that it is possible to enable Tracking Protection in regular mode as well.

  • privacy.trackingprotection.enabled = true

The average user won't have a clue ......
