I just upgraded to the new FireFox 57, and I can't seem to find where to put the icon text names back. [Home, Print, etc]

In the old Firefox, I was able to customize the icons at the top of the browser, to include the names. In the new Firefox 57, it shows the "house picture], but I cannot seem to be able to put the text back in, so that it shows the house with the word "Home" under it. Likewise for the "print", and other icons. Before, it was under the "customize" option, and you chose "Icons and Text", but that isn't even around anymore. Please fix.

OK, but that doesn't solve the problem. On a related note to this page, with the response above, on the right side, it states that "solved the problem", when it didn't. How does one get rid of that "solved the problem" box, when it didn't?

If it didn't solve your problem, just don't click that button. It's there if you want to mark a reply as a solution.

Right now there is no easy way to do this, but this feature is available in SeaMonkey which you can get from here: https://www.seamonkey-project.org/releases/

After googling all day, I did come up with a link that could solve this problem, but it involves something called CSS. I do not mind editing files, as I have done it in Firefox in the past, in order to have a longer URL bar that listed more than the default. But I do not know what CSS is, and do not know where to find the files so I can edit. It looks simple enough, but I cannot find the file that contains the information so I can modify it. Here is the link that I found that purports to show how to solve this problem and others in the new Firefox 57, For the time being, I just uninstalled Firefox 57 and upgraded my old firefox to 56. But here is the link as it might help someone else: https://www.ghacks.net/2017/11/13/customize-firefox-57-with-css/

Hi rolleea, when you get some time, here's more information about using a userChrome.css file to customize Firefox's UI: https://www.userchrome.org/

I think starting with the Ghacks article is a great idea because it taps into code from Custom Theme Restorer, which might be what you were using before to modify the toolbar buttons.
