Your connection is not secure
I am trying to use add-ons but the webpage https://addons.mozilla.org/ gives me the error your connection is not secure. I would assume that the Mozilla website is a secure website but i cannot make any headway getting in. I attempted to follow the support page but could not get anywhere. My coworker is having the same issue but she previously has not had this problem. I just downloaded Firefox yesterday and received this error.

Check out why the site is untrusted and click the "Advanced" button to expand this section to see extra details. If the certificate is not trusted because no issuer chain was provided (sec_error_unknown_issuer) then see if you can install this intermediate certificate from another source. Click the "Add Exception" button to inspect the certificate in the Certificate Viewer.
If you can't inspect the certificate via "Add Exception" then try this:
Open the "Add Security Exception" window by pasting this chrome URL in the Firefox location/address bar and check the certificate:
- chrome://pippki/content/exceptionDialog.xul
In the location field of this window type or paste the URL of the website with the https:// protocol prefix (https://xxx.xxx).
- retrieve the certificate via the "Get certificate" button
- click the "View..." button to inspect the certificate in the Certificate Viewer
You can inspect details like the issuer and the certificate chain in the Details tab of the Certificate Viewer. Check who is the issuer of the certificate. If necessary then please attach a screenshot that shows the Certificate Viewer with the issuer.
I was not able to add an exception but included screen shots.
Looks that the certificate is issued by a proxy as you can see in the second screenshot under the "Issued By" section. You would have to install a root certificate for that proxy and set trust bits accordingly to make this work in Firefox. Otherwise you would have to stop using this proxy for accessing secure web pages.
You can check the connection settings.

If you do not need to use a proxy to connect to internet then try to select "No Proxy" if "Use the system proxy settings" or one of the others do not work properly.

If you can't bypass it, see whether your IT will help you with the certificate. If they won't, you probably can extract it from IE or Chrome and import it manually. For an example with a different proxy, see: https://support.mozilla.org/questions/1068675
