GUI exe won't display on native messaging

My system is a Ubuntu 16.04 x386 system, I am using firefox version 51.0a2 and my extension program is a gtkmm gui program, epadmain.exe. The web program could launch the program from user's/.mozilla/native-messaging-hosts/ folder, but it won't display the dialog for unknown reasibn. I can launch the program from the terminal from the above location. Any idea?
