adding 'Preferences' to options to make changes how Firefox holding onto wrong password for bank acct

I keep losing password for one of my bank account. Was told by their techie to make adjustment in Preferences in my Firefox account. When I went in (clicking 3 bars on upper right hand side) no Preferences listed. Techie told me to contact Firefox to reinstall that option. THanks.
