can I get my sent emails from my at&t email accounts to show up in thunderbird?
I am cancelling my at&t service and want to store my old emails locally. I got my received emails and contacts, but none of my sent emails came over and I want to keep those if possible....any ideas?

If you have POP because IMAP is not available or not set up All pop mail accounts can only download from 'Inbox'. Log on to webmail and move all 'Sent emails into server 'Inbox.
In Thunderbird Click on 'Get Messages' to download those emails. Then move them into a suitable folder.

add the account as IMAP so you get folders other than the inbox. Move all mail to local folder after it downloads or it will synchronize to oblivion when the account is closed.
I tried that but only got errors when t-bird tried to access the email address as imap. I will be fine...this made me go clean out a lot of junk & as it turns out, it was almost all junk. I can manage what is left that I need to keep.

OMG...Such a simple fix for what felt like a complicated task! Thank you so much. I have everything I needed to keep safe and sound and can finally fire AT&T. Yippee!!! I hope someone does something nice for you today.
