My document folders flooded with small kb images after I allowed Firefox to make changes on an update?
I allowed Firefox to make changes on an update which resulted in my Document folders to be flooded with lots and lots of 1-4kb thumbnail files.
Seems to be related to previously opened web pages. I tried to copy and paste the file names but this was not possible.
Also some sub folders are gone while the word folder's content is still available
Also lots of duplicate documents in main Document folder even from my Dropbox?

Sorry you are having those problems.
Are you purposely using the Beta pre-release version for any particular reason? Firefox 44.0b1 is the first of a dozen or more Beta versions and sometimes there are faults with it.

Thanks for the reply
Firefox asked to be updated and I did.
How do I undo the update?
What version of Firefox should I use?
Annette
You can find the full version of the current Firefox release (43.0.1) in all languages and all operating systems here:
Best is to uninstall the beta release that is currently installed before installing the release version.
- Do NOT remove "personal data" when you uninstall your current Firefox version, because this will remove all profile folders and you lose personal data like bookmarks and passwords including data in profiles created by other Firefox versions.
You can remove the Firefox program folder before installing that newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer to make sure that all files are gone.
- (32 bit Windows) "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\"
- (64 bit Windows) "C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\"
Your personal data like bookmarks is stored in the Firefox profile folder, so you won't lose personal data when you uninstall and (re)install or update Firefox, but make sure NOT to remove personal data when you uninstall Firefox as that will remove all Firefox profile folders and you lose your personal data.
