Can't sync firefox on new macbook with FF on 4yo macbook pro with FF 39. I've created an account and signed in on both but won't sync

I've created a Firefox account and signed in on both computers. I've selected "Sync now" from tools but still nothing happens. Not sure what I'm missing.

Correction--it apparently synced my history, but not my bookmarks. How can I get my bookmarks to sync?
