After trying for 5 years to fix this issue, I'm resigned to quit using FireFox. I have repeatedly tried all your "fixes" to no avail. I am an experienced user. I build my own computers from time to time. I do not know any programming. When I typed, "about:crashes", and right clicked on the last one, it constantly tries to report, but restarts as soon as 30 seconds have passed. I realize that FireFox has a lot of this problem because I have contacted 3 professional IT guys who have each told me that if I use FireFox it will always crash. Also, if it was a rare issue, it would not be impossible to reach some one for help. They cannot help that many people.

Please follow the steps below to provide us crash IDs to help us learn more about your crashes.

  1. Enter about:crashes in the Firefox address bar and press Enter. A Submitted Crash Reports list will appear, similar to the one shown below.
  2. Copy the 5 most recent Report IDs that start with bp- and then go back to your forum question and paste those IDs into the "Post a Reply" box.

Note: If a recent Report ID does not start with bp- click on it to submit the report.

(Please don't take a screenshot of your crashes, just copy and paste the IDs. The below image is just an example of what your Firefox screen should look like.)

Hi PastorPaul, you must be a man of great patience if you have been working on this for 5 years and only decided to submit your question now!

Of course, Firefox has changed drastically over that time, so the source of the issue may well have changed. Some things fixed, other things broken.

Hopefully you have some crash report IDs as requested in the earlier reply. But you also could characterize this problem a bit more: how often does Firefox crash on you? Are there particular sites or types of media that seem to cause issues? Does it seem related to the amount of windows and tabs you have open? Et cetera.
