Hello,

I was using Firefox for the longest LONGEST time. Over the last past week, I noticed Firefox using all my RAM and CPU, Firefox crashing every single time I close the browser, asks to send in report, very annoying!! Firefox always ran perfectly fine. The browser plugins have been disabled, removed, and Firefox with a clean install, cookies cleared out, everything. Still does it. In the mean time, I had used Chrome without problems, so I know it's not my internet connection or my system. Has to be a reason why Firefox gotten so bad.

If you have submitted crash reports then please post the IDs of one or more recent crash reports that have a "bp-" prefix:

  • bp-xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx

You can find the Report ID of recent crash reports on the "Help > Troubleshooting Information" page (about:support).

  • Click the "All Crash Reports" button on this page to open the about:crashes page and see all crash reports.

If necessary then you can open about: pages via the location/address bar.

You can try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.

  • Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"

You need to close and restart Firefox after toggling this setting.

In case you use "Clear history when Firefox closes" then try to disable this feature.

I've disabled Hardware Acceleration, disabled Clear history when Firefox closes.

As for Graphics, already using Nvidia GeForce Game Ready Driver (up-to-date). Update to date with all my drivers and software.

However, I noticed in the crash report keeps coming back as "Flash Player" issues. What's odd about this is, I removed Flash and re-installed. Firefox still continues to crash upon exit. FYI, I have a large amount of crash reports.
