Hi. Trying to upload multiple items pdfs to merge here: http://foxyutils.com/mergepdf/ Should work 'normally' - control click to select multiple. I've used the site previously, but today got a fresh user account as the last one was setup incorrectly (but I had FF and this worked AFAIK).

FF 37.0.1 on Win7 enterprise, ghostery & adblockplus turned off, java temporarily set to "always allow", java dev set to "ask" (can't change).

Any thoughts anyone? Seems very strange. Not sure if it's a Windows problem; I can select multiple items with control+click in windows explorer...

By any chance do you have to update your flash player?

Hello,

Have you Tried to hold Shift, or Command ( not the Control key) Key, and see if that works? Let me know. The only other thing I can say is to check, your settings, to see if your keys have been remapped.

The Browse button in a Flash object. It works for me on Linux> If I click the Browse button then I can select multiple PDF file.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window

Sir.Mayo - cheers, but nope, no combo of the usual buttons does anything in what otherwise appears to be the default windows dialog box.

Hello,

Have you tried it on a different site? Or is this always like that on any site. ?

cor-el, cheers, but no joy with safe mode & defaul theme.

A real puzzler. I searched bugzilla & general googling and found stuff about how this was a problem in FF 3.6 but that should no longer apply. Also that websites can use html5 multiple selection tag but evidently this site is using flash, which is cited as the alternative. If flash is causing the opening of a dialog box, one would think that the default win7 dialog box would allow multi selection as normal...

It's worked before. I suspect something's funny with either my windows user profile, flash, FF profile, or some combo. I'll try logging back into the old profile and see if it works there.

Could be completely unrelated, but I'm finding the "copy url" buttons on imgur don't work either, which might be part of the same flash interaction thing. Or not.

ugh. That bloody flash player! Cheers pal, I'd forgotten it wasn't working properly on my old user profile either. Finally managed to force it to work using admin install & closing FF, now it a. shows a custom grey rounded button rather than a generic box one, and b. launches a slightly different style dialog box which allows multi-select.

Sorry for the dumb problem (though in my defence - not that intuitive, and firefox doesn't say flash is out of date... though I didn't have it on at all which would explain that one!!). If you're doing the same as me, anyone, remember to turn abp & ghostery off too.
