On Monday September 25th from 10PM EDT - 12AM EDT (2AM UTC - 4AM UTC on September 26th), we will be performing system maintenance on the Firefox Accounts databases for two hours. During the maintenance window, there will be brief periods of a few minutes where users will not be able to login to their accounts. Please try again at a later time.

After Firefox crashed I restarted Firefox and clicked History. But Restore Previous Session is grayed out. I looked in the session-backups folder. Both recovery.js and recovery.bak do not contain the tabs from my previous session. Are the tabs from my previous session lost forever? If they are this is a really bad defect.

You weren't running Firefox in Private Browsing mode when this happened?

Did you ever otherwise had problems with restoring the previous session?

What is the startup setting?

  • Tools > Options > General > Startup: "When Firefox Starts":
"Show my windows and tabs from last time"
    "Show my home page"
    "Show a blank page"
