i have done al of the above, but nothing helped. However I have got another virus protection right now. I have changed from DrWeb to bitdefender. All problems are solved now. I think that DrWeb was the reason for the crashes, it blocked to many scripts running on internet pages. Maybe this is useful information for other users

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} While you are in safe mode; Press the Alt or F10 key to bring up the tool bar. Followed by;

Windows; Tools > Options Linux; Edit > Preferences Mac; application name > Preferences

Then Advanced > General. Look for and turn off Use Hardware Acceleration.

Poke around safe web sites. Are there any problems?

Then restart.

Hello, Unfortunately turning off 'hardware accelarator' did not solve the problem, although it looks like that mozilla crashes less often. (not every 10 minutes anymore). Any other tips? Kind regards, Ype

Try to create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problem.

See "Creating a profile":

If the new profile works then you can transfer files from a previously used profile to the new profile, but be cautious not to copy corrupted files to avoid carrying over problems.

Do a malware check with several malware scanning programs on the Windows computer. Please scan with all programs because each program detects different malware. All these programs have free versions.

Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.

You can also do a check for a rootkit infection with TDSSKiller.

Hello, I did not download and execute all the programs you suggested. I have DrWeb as antivirus and i am pretty content with them. Their scan has noticed no problems, furthermore I have no indication whatsoever that I have a virus, malware etc installed. The programs you suggest will slow down my pc and I think that the problem lies with Mozilla. So I hope you can find some other solution. Kind regards, Ype

Some add / mal-ware hides from virus scans. Please use the above programs.

Hello I have downloaded and executed the programms suggested above, and beside some cookies nothing was found. I have also reset my mozilla profile (have not removed yet). So far nothing helps. Personally i think that there must be some conflicting software, or my virusprotection causes the crashes. But I have no idea how to detect what is the problem. Chrome crashes to every now and then.
