Hi. Thanks for your help. Firefox was not pre-installed. I downloaded it. I can access other sites, using the Firefox browser, but not yahoo and thus I cannot access my email account. The error message says: "Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete." Do you understand this error message? Cheers.

Hi Bruzzzz

By "Galaxy 5", you mean "Galaxy S5" right?

I have a Galaxy S5 and I don't have an issue with logging onto yahoo mail from Canada (I am in Vancouver)

The error message

[error message]: "Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete."

usually means that there is a DNS problem

I would suggest trying with a known good WiFi connection instead of the WiFi or 3G you are using now. That should fix the above [error message]. Please let us know if this solves the problem

Hi Roland. Thankyou for your suggestion but should that enable me to access my Yahoo account, it is not a viable option for me to terminated both my internet and mobile contracts, at great expense in order to seek alternatives. The elegant solution was simply to change browser and I have found Chrome to function perfectly with my current hardware and providers. Cheers, Bru,

Hi Bruzzzz

My apologies for the confusion.

I would never advocate extra expense or anything expensive.

I was just asking you try another Wifi Access point e.g. your work or school wifi instead of your home Wifi or another SIM card if you know how and have access to another SIM card.

I understand your time is precious. Thanks for trying out Firefox for Android and if you should happen to try Firefox in the future please don't hesitate to ask another question (I am locking this question)

Cheers! ...Roland p.s. For anybody else reading this question in the future, I believe this was NOT a Firefox issue since Firefox for Android 31 works great on my Galaxy S5; it could be a mobile chipset issue but these kinds of things can't be debugged further unless we know the exact version of S5. e.g. S5 vanilla, S5 Verizon, S5 Europe, etc etc etc
