I just spent 15 minutes browsing and downloading a lot of images. When I was done I looked at my downloads folder and saw only half of them there. I checked the download history in firefox, and couldn't see some files. They were not queued or in progress. They weren't in the download list at all.

I reproduced this. I downloaded an image again. Right click, save as, click save. Then that image doesn't appear in the download history.

I tried some variations. Hitting enter instead of clicking save. Opening the image in a new tab and using ctrl-s.

Still, no image in the download history or on disk.

I quit firefox and re-openned. Still the file didn't appear on disk or in the download history.

Then I kept trying, and I got a second issue, which I think is related.

Often when I save an image, instead of one window popping up asking me where to save it, I get a second window popping up ontop of that, then a third, then a fourth. All ontop of each other. All asking the same thing. They take the focus, so it's not possible to interact with the main firefox window to continue browsing.

Sometimes if I hit enter literally 50 times then it will save the same image repeatedly, and eventually I can go back to browsing.

Sometimes there's more than 50 popup windows (my hunch is more than 100). My only solution then is to quit firefox forcefully. Which is annoying if I have state in other tabs that I don't want to lose.

This has happened many times over many weeks. It only happens on some file saves. I can't figure out why it happens on some, not others. (Right click > save, and also ctrl-s, they both do the same thing.)

This form won't let me attach a screen recording. Only screenshots. That's annoying because you can't really see the behavior from the screenshot. But I'll try. See the dark black border outside the download dialogue? That's normally a very faint transparent shadow. But because there's so many duplicate windows all exactly ontop of each other, those multiple transparent shadows have become opaque.

What you can't see from a static screenshot is that I could see each window appear ontop of the other. If I try to select the filename text and edit it, very quickly another window appears ontop with the default filename again. I can see the Firefox icon in the Gnome bar on the left shaking every time a new window pops up.

(Hmm, it looks like I can't *upload* screenshots either. I click browse, select a file, and then it doesn't get uploaded.)

I'm on Ubuntu 22.10 with Wayland.

I don't know if this issue is a bug in Firefox, or in Gnome. I've only seen this behavior with Firefox in Gnome. Not Firefox on another DE/OS. And not any other application in Gnome. This behavior has been intermittent since I bought this laptop and installed Ubuntu about a month ago.

Hi! My windows suddenly encountered problems and I had to reinstall it, but after reinstalling win and Firefox and logging into my account, none of my data loaded to the new Firefox. Please help, for me, loosing that much of bookmarks and passwords, is just like a matter of death and life.

As the attached screenshot shows, my browser fails to correctly show Arabic characters in textboxes. Sometime, the same problem happens when loading a page too. I tested it with Arabic, Persian and Kurdish keyboards and still get the same problem.

My Firefox version is 113.02 (64-bit). I use an Apple M1 Pro (Ventura 13.2.1).

This problem exists since early 2023.

I am using Version 113.0.2 (64-bit) and trying to access a home camera system, mydlink.com. When I go to log in there, it tells me "You are using an unsupported browse.....We recommend you use Firefox 12-51/52 ESR on Windows" Can I get this version? What options do I have? Thanks, Ed Corcoran

I've had nothing but problems with iCloud - usually it's text being unable to be displayed in Notes on iCloud.

I have a lot a devices. I would like the majority of settings/etc to be synced with my account but I would also like to be able to have some add-ons excluded. For example I use Persepolis download manager for the devices that support it but not all my devices support it. Result is I have to toggle active addon every time I switch devices as it syncs.

At moment and for the past week or so, my email and other web pages garble all the bold type. This has happened periodically for the better part of a year. It will be normal for a month or so then be garbled as shown in the attached screen shot. This only happens on Firefox, not on Mac mail, Google Chrome, or Safari.

About a week ago I started getting these message windows 'Gah. Your tab has crashed.' I have never seen these before now they're everywhere. I have tried all the Troubleshoot procedures and nothing seems to help. I've done all the cleanups and checked the add-ons but there is nothing new and no changes I am aware of.

currently FF 114.0 started about mid Feb 2023 i started to get right click lockup freeze FF updated a few times problem still there only way was to close and reopen win7 64 Pro 8gb ram 4gb GC i7cpu my win 10 is fine same FF version happens every so often but gen every day

To the Firefox volunteers, developers, moderators, or whoever might read this that is willing and able to do something about it: Provide a means for end users to place the Tabs below the Bookmarks on screen.

By mistake, I close a window with lots of opened tabs and can not get them back. In the past when this happened I went to history but now there's no available option in "recently closed windows".

Ubuntu crashes while moving around a Firefox tab with a mouse, IF the mouse cursor goes thru the top bar of the laptop screen. I am using Firefox V 113.0.2, Build ID: 20230522193126 on Ubuntu 23.04. This could be an Ubuntu problem or a Firefox problem.

If I use Chrome, this does not happen.

When I use Firefox, Every. Single. Time. I log into gmail, all the instructions are in Chinese. If I just log out, default is Chinese. Do I need to change my email address? Gmail is my work email, also, and it doesn't happen with that account at work, but the default browser is Chrome.

Yes, I've repeatedly changed the language back to English. I have 2-step verification for logging in. I just changed my password, closed all browsers, reset trusted devices. Did not help. If I use Mozilla Firefox, when I type in gmail.com, my email addresses are in English; everything else is Chinese.

I wish to change the autofill of the email address when I log in to my yahoo email account . I think I need to get onto the ' Menu Panel ' but I don't know how to do this . Thanks

I saw an other article about the same possible but they had a problem with an extension but I dont have that extension but still have the same problem. Whenever i watch twitch or youtube and i alt tab or switch tabs my audio and video stops playing.
