I use Linux Mint and I have been experiencing numerous system crashes involving Firefox which requires a cold boot. What is the problem? How can I debug this? Are you getting crash reports?’

This happens several times a week. It has happened continuously tonight since installing the latest update via the Software Manager.

The program causes a total freeze of the OS. All other running programs and all input sources. I have no choice but to shut down via the power button on the tower.

Mint generates crash reports but I have no way to determine if they are being sent to Mozilla.

Firefox for Linux does not provide a troubleshooting system like it does on Windows. Neither does Mint.

I studied Computer Science in the 80s when Firefox was known as Navigator. I learned C and the Unix OS, but since then I became a psychologist, and don't remember too much of the Com Sci stuff I learned and I don't think Mint allows user modifications anyway.

What can be done to fix this? I don't have the Benjamins to buy a new Windows to replace the Linux, nor do I want to.

Greetings! I've been a Firefox evangelist for a long time! I'm having issue with my Dell Precision 5530 pushing Firefox audio to a Bluetooth speaker connected to PC. Others browsers work fine, however FF wants to use the speakers on my monitor, connected via HDMI. I've tried to change several times, however FF does not want to use the BT.

My Dell Precision Laptop from 2019 runs a frequently updated Ubuntu 24.04. About one or two weeks ago, after one of the latest Firefox updates, i noticed that video streaming produces rectangular flickering in rapid sweeps. ( Also fast scrolling large text websites produces similar flickering, I think I would have noticed it before...) . If you detected it once, you see it always again... :-( First I fiddled around with the nvidia settings because the driver was also recently updated, without much success. Playing locally stored videos, e.g. with VLC media player, still works fine, so the nvidia driver is not the problem i think. Yesterday I installed Chromium and the video performance is fine! As good as with firefox some weeks ago! So it must be one of the latest updates, that causes the problem. Generally I like firefox more than chromium. I like the control you have, e.g. via Add ons.. So I hope that the firefox performance will increase again... Thank you for firefox! Florian Mengedoht

The ASK-AI in firefox is very useful. We can use it more, but the limitation of AI providers, block us. So If you could add Ollama support, We can use the AI that we installed on our Laptop. Please add this option also, or if this is an open-source project, please give me the Git project URL to I add it.

I've recently noticed that the minimize button on the top right of the screen is missing, all I have is the close app button and a drop down. I'm on Bazzite, I have the sidebar disabled, I've already done a refresh. The only thing I really haven't done is a full uninstall then reinstall, but I wanted to see if there was a setting I missed anywhere. I've attached a screenshot of the drop down and close app button, but no minimize.

I want to sync my phone's firefox browser with my computers but I have so many security issues with google that I'm afraied that they may have control of the browser on my phone, and I most defiantly don't want the issues showing up here on my computer, Just trying to be careful.

When right clicking the context menu appears, but sometimes in odd places, and the disappears, so you can't select anything.

Same is true selecting the Help submenu from the Hamburger menu.

Restarting the browser fixes it for a few minutes, then same problem comes back.

I run Ubuntu Mate. But versions later than 20.04 of Ubuntu Mate do not provide color support for my Samsung CLP-620. And, I can't install your latest MozillaVPN version on 20.04 because it requires libssl.3 (I think that's the designation) which is no longer available for 20.04. So, I am left with the choice of (1) no MozillaVPN but a color printer; or (2) no color printer but MozillaVPN. I have multiple computers so if you can't tell me a way to get both (MozillaVPN and 20.04), I'm stuck with a conundrum and will end up dedicating one expressly for printing when I need color -- what a waste!

Note: I know 20.04 is history but I can live with it if I have to rather than junk a good printer.

I am trying to use the built-in VPN in Firefox on Linux. I have version 150.0. Is this feature available on Linux version? If its available, who do I enable this function?

I have paid for a Veepn extension software for Firefox. If I go into Veepn it says I have an account and have paid for the software but the software has not been down loaded. How can I find where to down load it again? I have a Linux Mint 22.3 operating system.

I'm using Firefox (149.0.2 snap) with LUbuntu 24.04.4 LTS. Because of a wrong graphic driver, I had to turn off hardware acceleration in FF.

When FF is started the Initial "Firefox - Choose User Profile" is unreadable (see attached : wrong_screen.jpg), but if I continue (click somewhere in the window) , all the opened tabs are readable.

Once in FF, if I want to select another profile from the application menu -> .. -> manage profiles, then the "Choose User Profile" window is fine (see attached : good_screen.jpg).

I tried to start FF with the "-P" option to specify wanted profile but it continues to start with the unreadable "Choose User Profile" window.

Could someone give me a solution, except finding the good hardware driver for my computer?
